Thanks for the info Pixiewood! The price is comparable to that for GA products here of lesser concentration, if not cheaper, even with shipping!
Miserable, perhaps try www.perfectskin.co.uk which sells glycolic acid products from the UK which might help you save on shipping. Their highest product is a face cream with 15% glycolic acid but that might be a good place to start before the 20%. Oh yeah, there's also www.lookgr8.co.uk that has a GA body lotion. I'm not sure what shipping costs are to other European countries though. |

I'm already using something with aprox. 13% mixture of AHA and BHA (Exfoliac lotion - it's French product), but I think I could move up to 20%, because I have no problems with this one and my KP is quite severe. I'm not from UK though, I'm from Slovenia, so the shipping costs are there anyway.
I'll try to order at Greatskin and let you know. |

It arrived really quickly as well so I was very happy, I paid more from another seller in the UK for 15% so was made up with 20% and the cream is a nicer formulation than neostrata, not so greasy and made with almond and tea tree oil so it smells good too!It sinks in quick. I also bought 30-50% peels from ebay but thats a UK seller they were about 11 quid I think....

Hi, I just bought myself a bottle of Neostrata 10% Glycolic acid, and have been applying it once every day (I know this is not sufficient, but I'm still adapting to it being a part of my daily regimen
). I have severe KP on my arms and legs, and I also have it on my bottom, on my face (near the jaw) and a bit on my chest. I've had KP for more than 8 years now; I used to live in the Philippines, but even if it's a tropical country, my KP was still bad. I've moved to Canada a year and a half ago, and I can see that my KP has gone from bad to worse. Anyway, I was just wondering if it's normal that when I take a shower, the lotion feels like it's coming off (ie it wasn't absorbed) even though it's been hours since I applied it? And if it has happened to others that after using the lotion, more KPs seem to be popping up and even at places where there used to be no KP? I used to not have KP on my knees, but ever since I applied the lotion, bumps are appearing there...and it's actually quite a lot! ![]() Could it be because I'm not doing any other measures to exfoliate? I've never done it before and would be really grateful if anyone could advise other exfoliating techniques I could do. Thank you!!! Also, to those who have tried OP and are living in Canada, can you advise me as to where I can find/buy the refined/cold pressed oils here? I really want to try it! Thanks!! ![]() |

My story
After reading Turquoise's story I started using the DCL 20% lotion in October 2006. After approx. 2 weeks of applying it twice daily I got horrible acid-marks all over my arms and my legs. I went to my dermatologist and she adviced me to quit with the lotions right away. Despite her advice I kept on applying ,thinking the marks would fade as my skin got used the acids. This might seem naive but I was just so excited about finally finding something that actually seemed to work!
But after ca 5 weeks my skin hurt so bad I quit entirely. The thing is though.. I really think these lotions works if you do it right! For example, during the short period that I applied the lotion I experienced both increased hair growth on my KP-areas (areas on which there barely was any hairs before) which means the lotion must've unplugged the usually plugged hair follicles, trying to work it's way down to the inflamed follicle. Also, the bumps were pretty much gone. The dots were still red though but after reading Turquoise's story Im sure this was because my treatment did'nt last long enough for the lotions to really reach the inflamed follicles. I let my skin rest until it was almost fully recovered, which was in the middle of January this year. The KP was back, looking like it did before all this,so I decided to give the lotions a go again cause I really belived in them. This time I have started out with a lower procentage (10%) and after ca 2 weeks of applying it twice daily I have'nt experienced any of the bad reactions I had before! No peeling nor irritation! ![]() Im really hopeful this time. So thank you Turqouise for letting us all know about the lotions and thank you for your informative website! Reading your story was just what I needed after years of searching for a cure, in total vain. |

I have been using the 10%AHA lotion on my legs/buttocks/arms for about 1 month and one week ago I started using the 15% lotion. So far no big improvement in the appereance of my skin but it feels a lot smoother...like never before. I am hopeful too. I didn't get any burns...I might need the 20%. One thing I noticed though: since I started using the lotion on my butt, I don't get any of those annoying pimples that I hated and used to believe they will always be there... My butt is smooth and clear
I love it!And another cool thing I am doing (pay attention!): I am using ground cofee as a scrub in the shower ![]() It works very well and it smells amazing. A little goes a long way. I read somewhere that the caffeine will stimulate the cell metabolism when applied externally just like it does when you drink it (you've probably heard about those anticellulite creams that contain caffeine). Looking forward to a smoother, even slimmer new ME! Good luck everyone!!! |
