Very confused about the diet solution to KP

Hey , everyone. This is my first post on KP.org. First off, I'd like to thank everyone for replies in advance and for any information I found before I joined the forums. My name is Gerard and I'm 15 years old. I'm a vegetarian. My KP is terrible. I have it [literally] all over my body except my hands, feet, face, chest, and neck.

I read the post written by Denise about the diet remedy, but I'm confused.

First of all, I saw a reply saying to stay away from too much protein. How much is too much? I work out by lifting weights and I try to make sure I get enough protein to repair my muscle (I eat no meat or eggs). I'm not a crazy bodybuilder though. I'm not going for the strongman look, just an athletic look and I don't try to get 1g per pound of my bodyweight like some crazy people (no offense lmao).

I understand staying away from white bread, pasta, and sugar. For the past few days, I haven't gone past 20g of sugar a day (excluding milk because it's my source of calcium, which I also have a question about).

I read that some vegetables and other things are better for calcium and that you need vitamin D to absorb the calcium from milk. Over the summer I had a nice tan and that got rid of a lot of my KP, but now that it's near the fall/winter and I live in NJ, I'm not going to be getting too much sun. How am I supposed to absorb my calcium? :-\

I don't really have a problem with vitamins and I don't think supplements are necessary because lots of food that I eat have lots of vitamins already.

So what should I do now that the winter is coming?

Thanks,
Gerard
