Psoriasis & KP

Hi, I just joined today. I'm a 31 year old female and I first noticed that I had KP on my arms and legs when I was in high school. It never really bothered me before now because I was so focused on my psoriasis. I have psoriasis on the palms of my hands and soles of my feet. That started around the age of 8. It's very painful at times not to mention embarrassing. My skin peels constantly and cracks causing it to bleed. Doing simple things like washing my hands hurts like you could not imagine. My hands and feet are a bright red and have a plastic like appearance to them sometimes. So as far as my KP problems go I don't know much about it at all. I've never even tried to treat it because for a long time I assumed it was just another form of psoriasis and I was just glad it didn't hurt. I do pick at it with tweezers though. Is that bad? Does anyone else have KP and psoriasis on the hands and feet? Are the two related to each other at all? I have noticed that the back of my arms are getting worse so I would to learn more about it and try to treat it.

A friend of mine is using extra virgin coconut oil for both and it has really helped her. I use it for my kp and I have seen a dramatic improvement

My little niece's psoriasis was cleared up by using a kukui nut shampoo, cleanser, and oil. She still uses the shampoo and cleanser, and just dabs the oil on any problem areas that appear (stress gives her small breakouts). Her parents were able to take her off ALL the medications the dermatologist prescribed. I've seen her before and after, obviously, and the change is really dramatic. I believe they order products from www.oilsofaloha.com.
