Kp during pregnancy

I am 6 months pregnant, and my kp has gotten worse while pregnant. I have it on my arms, mostly upper but it does spread to all over my arms at times. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed an increase in kp while pregnant, and if so, after pregnancy did any other changes occur? I've tried a million things and the only things that *helps* is tanning, which I'm not doing now, but even so I notice way more kp than when not pregnant and not tanning.

Hi Rosie, I've only just been officially diagnosed today, but looking back mine did seem to get worse during pregnancy last year; I didn't sunbathe at all then. Now 14 months on, I've not had any time to sunbathe at all this year (with a busy toddler) and it's even worse, which prompted me to visit my Doctor...

KP is DEFINITELY much worst during pregnancy

Hi! Yes! I just had a baby 7 months ago and my KP is worse than it's ever been. It got bad during pregnancy and then much worse after. I think a lot of it has to do with hydration. While you're pregnant, your body needs tons of water to grow your baby and then after you have your baby you need tons of water if you're nursing. Although I did just stop nursing and my KP hasn't gotten any better. The same thing has happend with two friends of mine as well. It's really frustrating.

My baby is now 21 months old and my KP is still worse since pregnancy. Actually the KP is just in more places. I used to just have it on my upper arms, but now it's on my lower arm, hip, and stomach too. I am still nursing (yes i'm into extended nursing) so the hydration theory may be true. Another interesting tidbit....I only have it on my right side now (lower and upper arm, and hip). I think this is because my son sleeps with me on my left side and I sleep on my left side almost exclusively. I think my left side gets a gentle exfoliation by the sheets every night and moisture is kept in. Anyway my left side is very smooth no bumps.
