Talking I found a combo that works great

Hey folks. I have been reading here for awhile and have tried a few of the suggestions and haven't had much luck until now. I tried shaving, lachydrin, the meat tenderizer/evco combo, exfoliating and nothing had really worked for me. After I had my third child my KP got so bad that it had spread all the way down to my wrists. I talked to my mom about it because it had gotten so bad and we both agreeed there had to be something that would help to clear the pores in my arms. I had read somewhere that Beta hydroxy was good to try so I bought a tube of Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser because it had both alpha and beta hydroxy in it. It said it helped clear and tighten pores and was cheap. Well What I did was use the cleanser and a Buff Puff type thing to scrub my arms well in the shower. I let the cleanser sit for a couple minutes then rinsed it off. When I got out of the shower I applied the EVCO. I had tried the EVCO for a couple weeks with the meat tenderizer for a week and had less than optimal results. I tried it alone and with regular exfoliating also and got no results. The new combo has done in two days what I have been unable to achive ever. I am so impressed. My arms are clear except for a couple of small left over bumps. I haven't gotten any new ones and all the old scabs and bumps are almost completely gone. I am so happy! I just wanted to share.

Thanks for the post! I was pretty disappointed that the EVCO wasn't working for me, but maybe I'll try the cleanser first. My second child was born 3 months ago and my KP also spread almost to my wrists and is all down my lower legs to my ankles. I could tolerate it before, but this is ridiculous.

NP. I wanted to add that on the third and fourth days they got worse before they got better. I think this was because the old plugs were working themselves out. I had to keep reminding myself that skin turnover takes about 2-3 weeks. I am supplimenting with vitamin A also and I try to get at least ten minutes of sun each day. Anyway the results are great. I think anything with the alpha/beta combo would do the trick.

I am having good results with the cleanser and EVCO (actually, mine is organic virgin coconut oil...it was all I could find). I started with my arms as that's where my bumps are the worst and I would say they are 50-75% better, depending on the spot. I'm hoping it just keeps getting better as it's only been about 4 days. Thanks for the tip!

I think she found that the meat tenderizer didn't work for her. I just used the Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser and then after I patted the skin of extra moisture, used the EVCO.

Evco is Extra virgin coconut oil. I read on another thread that people were having alot of success with this and with using meat tenderizer as a scrub. I tried it and had no luck so I tried using that cleanser instead to try to clear the plugs. That is what the tenderizer was supposed to do but didn't for me. This combo has worked great for me. Also my mom, the same one who helped me find the cleanser, said she read an article in (Glamor?) that had products good for KP. She said the best rated was Eucerine Plus intensive repair body creme. I looked it up and here is the site: Http://www.eucerinus.us/products/hb_plusbody.html
It says right on the sight that it is good for KP. I haven't tried it yet but it had lactic acid, alpha hydroxy, and urea in it and those are all supposed to be good for it. I am gonna get some if this to use with the coconout oil. It sounds like a great combo.
