On thursday i took my patch tests into the dermatologist clinic, i was told i have no skin allergies...i was prescribed some cream called Vioform Hydrocortisone which is steroid cream, i have to go back in two months...on thursday afternoon i went to a ShiZhen clinic which is chinese medicine, i was given some cream, some herbal powder called (Huang Qin) and a course of Acupuncture sessions lasting half an hour each...which are every week for nine weeks.
I will report if there is any success on this, and to all you researchers keep researchin as we are closer than anyone else at finding something that works. I have heard that people with thick layers of skin have a lack in skin moist, has anyone thought that toning up would make an effect on the skin...as this would make the skin thin and maybe more moist could be brought to the surface. (meaning the Epidermis) Fatty tissue robs us of our vitamins and minerals needed for healthy skin. ![]() |

On a side note: I received regular acupuncture treatments every week or so for a few months and, though I saw no improvement in my KP, I did see improvement in my PMS, the regularity of my cycle, my digestion, and my mood - just my experience with acupuncture (and Chinese herbs, which I took regularly as prescribed by my acupuncurist). Please, please, please be careful with that cream.
You have no idea how dangerous it can be. I have suffered side effects for 12+ years due to a topical hydrocortisone steroid a doctor prescribed for my KP. It only took one month for the damage to be done. As for toning up, I've been lifting weights for 14 years and my KP has gotten steadily worse. I found a "cure" that worked for me just a short time ago, but it wasn't exercise or good nutrition. That's not to say these things can't work for others, though. Different things work for each of us. |
