I finally went to the dermatologist about two months ago.. My last visit there was when i was 13 (now i'm 19), and at that time the doctor didn't give me anything (just said that it'll pass with age). So this time i said i wouldn't leave without a perscription. I have KP almoast everywhere execpt a few areas. But it's worst on my chest and upper arms +back.
The doctor said he wouldn't perscribe a salisylic acid on such wide areas on the body, so he perscribed some vitamin A creme called "Avitcid 0,025%". The doctor said it workes as an exfoliator, cos the creme has so much of tretinoin that it peels a bit at the time off the skin and controlls the keratin production.

I started using it after exfoliating the areas in the shower with exfoliating gloves + L'oreal exfotonic. I only tried this on my arms and chest. When the skin was all dry i put on a thin layer of Avitcid. First i didn't notice much difference.. but within a week, i could aready notice a huge difference!! I was so amazed!! Cos this tretment needs less exfoliating and therefore less trouble for me.. than what I used to use: this salisylic spray from clinique called "Anti blemish body tretment spray".. it worked too, but it's more expensive and didn't work as well as this vitamin A creme.

Now after using two tubes (small tubes) of the Avitcid 0,025% creme, i talked to my doctor and he said "ok, now we can try the stronger one to get a even better result". Cos obviously the lighter cream didn't cause any excema or irritation. So i just recently started with the Avitcid 0,05% creme, it really has worked miracles on me.. so i hope this might help you others as well!!

But i must add, it hasn't taken KP away completely, but my skin feels sooo much more softer, and looks much nicer that i can now wear open tops without having to be uncomfortable such a great feeling!!
