Do I have KP? Shaving legs & hair obsession

[color=Blue]Hi! I am new to this site & extremely happy that I found you. Does anyone send photos in so their KP can be verified? Also, is it common to have trouble shaving your legs when they are covered with these bumps?

My legs look like a plucked chicken.. Look in the meat section at your supermarket. If you see a chicken with its skin still on, that's what my legs look like. I am obsessed with plucking all the little hairs to make my legs smooth, but it's obvoiusly not working.

If you are worried about shaving, maybe you could try waxing. It doens't feel so hot, but you don't have to worry about shaving for a while.

I had KP on my thighs, but shaving usually didn't bother them. However, my KP was more like bumps that were kind of spread out. Sometimes I may knick one, but nothing too bad...but usually your thighs don't need shaving as much as your lower legs do.

Actually my KP is on my lower legs, and back of my thighs. When I shave, I wind up with red aggravated bumps, instead of just the normal bumps. I've tried waxing, it's worse.

Oh, goodness. Have you seen a Dermatologist? If you have had this problem for a while, I would. I would hate to dread shaving...more so than I already do.

Try shaving with the Extra virgin Coconut oil everyone talks about on here. There is a whole thread about it. I posted my experience nad the unbelievable difference I have had with shaving. I used to only be able to shave once a week b/c I was so sensitive, but I have not had one breakout/flare up razor burn etc. since using Coconut oil. Good luck and let us know!!!!

Do you have problems with the oil clogging your razor?

I have the same problem! Especially on the backs of my thighs. I've become so obsessed with plucking the hair on my lower legs that I've actually scarred them... not cool..
I wax... it sucked at first but seems to be better now...

No problem with the oil "clogging" my razor. I rub the oil in pretty good and use pretty warm water and rince the blade often. The only problem I have encountered is the little shaved hairs sticking to my legs after I am done shaving. The are easily wiped away once the oil soaks in and dries after I am out of the shower, but sometimes I am dressed and out the door before I can wipe my legs down.

In my opinion, definetely worth it to not have the problems with the bumps, irritation and redness.
