Coconut Oil - I carried out an experiment for a week
I stopped using it all last week. I wanted to see if it really was working or if it was my imagination. I stopped using it on Saturday 29th July. By Wednesday 2nd August, my bumps were back in force on my upper arms, particularly the backs. I started using again this Saturday - back to slathering it on in the shower. My bumps are disappearing again and my arms are feeling lovely. The red dots are fading again and the persistant bumps are 'opening' so I can just pull the little plug out with tweezers, rather than squeezing and leaving an angry mountain.
So, it really does work for me. |

Thats good to hear, sometimes I also wonder if it is my imagination that some products are working because I want it to be true

Coconut oil is truly amazing stuff! I even found confirmation that it works on Wikipedia...check out my posting on "Coconut questions"!

Re: Coconut Oil - I carried out an experiment for a week
I have also been using coconut oil for about a month now, always applyin it in the evening/after the shower. I have read that the best thing would be to use it IN the shower onto wet skin but drying up afterwards feels a bit too much of an effort when you're all oily. Anyways it has helped me. I still have it on my upper arms but the skin does feel a lot softer and less red.
Luckily the symptoms diminish during the summer months. The problem is that I live in Finland where it is pretty cold for most of the year so the condition gets worse Should probably try it in the sauna since I have read sauna could also help because it makes the skin softer. |

Re: Coconut Oil - I carried out an experiment for a week
I just bought a tub. I want to apply it in the shower and combine it with swishing. I have one question, should I continue using glytone and/or Amlactin? They don't really work for me anyway, but I'm afraid to quit cold turkey and let the bumps get worse. Is the formula just EVCO and regular lotion? Or do you coconut nuts still use exfoliating creams during the day?
