Well, I have been on both sides of the fence...the thin side & the 'fluffy' side
. My KP seemed just as bad no matter what weight I was at. |

My weight hasn't changed much for at least seven years, I'm around 93 lbs and my KP has began about 4 years ago...so I don't think weight has anything to do with it for me.

I don't think it has much relevance. I've lost like 15-20 pounds and that's made no difference.

My KP reduced significantly when I lost a lot of weight (and became underweight).
I think it may help to lose weight if your KP is mild or moderate. But I had to lose a lot. I am 5'7" and got down to about 95 lbs, and much of my KP cleared. Obviously though, it's not practical to have to maintain a weight that low. Maybe it does help to be a healthy weight though, and not be carrying around that extra 15, 20+ pounds. I mean, if the rest of your body doesn't function as well when you're overweight, I can't imagine that your skin would be benefitting from it, either. |

I have wondered about this myself.. I have had KP forever, and I would say pretty severe. About 4 years ago I dropped a lot of weight while training for triathlons and was the thinnest and fittest I've ever been for a couple of years... I hardly noticed My KP during that time. It definitely was not as bad as it is again now that I've gained back some weight. Perhaps it doesn't have to do as much with your weight as it does just with a healthier diet and exercise regimen in general? I don't know... even though I gained some weight back, I still eat pretty healthy and exercise every day, and I have raging KP!
