Cammi, i think thier talking about Bath & Body Works Spearmint lotion. Another user on this site recommened it to me. She says it smells minty but that its a refreshing minty not stinky. I'm going to try it as soon as I can get to a BBW

Yes it is a spearmint lotion from Bath and Body Works. It costs $13 a bottle. There is a thread just a few down from this one about the lotion.

I'm am going straight to BBW after work today. I cant wait to try it after eveyone elses great testimony. I'm not getting my hopes up though. I even called the closed BBW to make sure they had the lotion in stock. lol I have horrible KP on my arms and flouresent light at work makes it look even worse. Yuck! My daughter has KP over her entire body with no redness. I'm assuming by what everyone else says, that this lotion will work for my daughter as well. I hope so. I will keep everyone informed and hopefully I can be one of the people on this forum who raves about how much better my arms look!

Well I bought the BBW lotion last night and tried it immediately. This morning at work I feel like I smell a little manly but if it helps who cares. Anyhow, my bumps do amazingly feel smaller!
I hope this keeps up and reduces the reddness. Has anyone else had any luck with getting rid of the reddness with this lotion? |

I have been using this for about 4 days, and my redness is getting alot better. The bumps are getting smaller also. My husband even made a comment about my arms looking better. I did the same thing on Monday when I read about this lotion...right after work I drove to Bath and Body Works and bought it.

Now what we need to do is convince them to make it in larger plastic squeeze tubes or something. 6.5 oz doesn't last that long, and I feel like I could get another day out of the bottle if I could just get the drips out. I'm so excited this is working for people. I was thinking- what if it is the spearmint behind the results, not the eucalyptus. We may be able to find other mint only lotions out there. It is some kind of anti-inflammatory, I believe.

Spearmint has a lot of the same properties as peppermint, just not as strong, which might be a good thing if you're dealing with skin. It is a mild astringent and diurretic. It's also a stimulant for the skin, which can be good or bad, depending on the symptom. I got online and read more about this skin condition, and I'm thinking a soap and/or lotion with spearmint or peppermint sounds like a good idea and anything with alpha hydroxy acids. Kiss My Face has some peppermint products I'm going to try out...I'll let you all know how the work! |

After reading this post, I decided to try my Dr. Scholls peppermint foot lotion on the backs of my arms and thighs. It also has alpha hydroxy. I'll post back if it works.

How many times a day does everyone here put on thier BBW lotion? I use it in the morning and evening and sometimes in the middle of the day. I've been using the lotion for 4 or 5 days now. The bumps felt better the first day but haven't changed a whole lot since. To me the redness looks the same also.
I was wondering if I wasn't using it enough or what else I could be doing. I will keep trying and hopefully I will see more improvement. |

Just a thought- Everyone gets varying results with lotions. Maybe it is because they are using different cleansing methods, like soaps that are drying or body washes with added moisterizers etc. Maybe it would be a good idea to use the lotion on one arm after cleansing with either just water or a very mild cleanser.

Thanks for the thought but I currently do not use any type of cleanser on my upper arms. Summer sucks because this condition makes me feel so self concious. I guess I will continue with my current regamine for longer that just a few days and see what happens. I might as well get my moneys worth out of the products I've bought.

maybe you should try an exfoliator then. And yes, the biggest mistake people make is only using a product for a few days. It may take a month or longer to get results.
