My first thread, and some progress I've made

Hi All,

I found this forum a couple of weeks ago when I decided I wanted to try and get my KP under control. I had rather severe KP on my arms and legs, as well as KPRF. On July 1 stated using some new products and I wanted to report my results. I started by getting some new body washes. One is Aveno Skin Relief Body Wash and the other is Aveno Skin Smoothing Body Scrub, both have Natural Colloidal Oatmeal. I use the scrub a couple times a week. After I hop out of the shower, I dump some 2% salicylic acid (Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil-Controlling Astringent) into my hands and rub it on my arms, legs, and face. Next I apply a coat of Neostrata Ultra Smoothing Lotion (AHA 10). I finish up with the Eucerin Redness Relief Lotion on my face and the Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Body Cream on my arms and legs. I wash my face with Eucerin Redness Relief Cleanser before going to bed.

I don't have before and after pictures, but I'd estimate my legs are 40-50% improved (less redness, fewer and smaller bumps), my arms are 80-90% improved (redness almost completely gone, bumps almost completely gone and the ones that remain are very small), and my face is 30-40% improved (less pronounced redness --- never had bumps on my face). I'm not sure which ingredient is making the difference, or if it is all of them working together. A "side-effect" is that I'm getting a lot of hair growth on all areas. Before the hair in this area was very thin and short. Now it looks more like the hair on my lower arms and legs. I'm also getting more hair growth in the KPRF areas on my face.

Overall I'm thrilled with the results thus far. I'm going to keep the routine unchanged for the rest of July and see how it goes. I may give the BBW Eucalyptus series a try on my legs and face, but I think my arms are finally fixed!

Good luck!!

Mike

Wow it sounds like your results are amazing. Do you know if they sell those Aveeno products in Canada? So one if an exfoliant and one is an actual body wash. Don't you find the Eucerin body creme to be sticky and greasy and very thick? Ive only used it twice now and I'm not really thrilled with the way it looks and feels once it's on. I cant even touch my arms..
Hmm, I will look into seeing if those products are sold in Canada. Thanks for posting this helpful information.
Fingers crossed!

Hi Christina,

I picked up my Aveeno at Walgreens. If you can't find it locally, see if Walgreens online will ship some to you. I do find the Eucerin to be a little thick, but I apply it on top of the salicylic acid and Neostrata and that may help thin it out a little. I apply about one pump to my arms and two to my legs. It makes them a bit shiny, but to me it seems like a healthy/moisturized look.
