It'll say "Libbi's photos", but they're of my arms. (Libbi's my mom, it's her Kodak Gallery. Check out the "do more with these photos" page that appears after the slideshow. The mug is GROSS! LOL ) There's a 2 week difference between the "before arbonne" and the "after arbonne" pics. For more details, you can email me at allisonsullivan@insightbb.com or check out my other post called "Clearing up with Arbonne". I think the difference is phenomenal, but you're each entitled to your own opinion... Last edited by allisonsullivan; 07-16-2006 at 04:41 PM. |

I didn't use the sea sallt scrub until after these were taken. These results were after 2 wks of NutriMinC RE9 Body line (wash, serum, & lotion). I added the scrub in so I'd stop picking at the remaining bump or 2 I had. It worked, though! I don't even try to pick anymore. Now if I could only lighten the scars from picking...

I just checked the site. That's weird, I've never seen that before. It says check back after midnight, I'm assuming that's Pacific time, because it's 1:32am Eastern and it's not up yet...

Oh I see. Well my KP isn't as bad as yours used to be

Allisonsullivan:
This is going to seem like rain on your Arbonne parade but your photos, to me, just show scabs that healed over. That's not very remarkable IMHO. The 'before' arms don't appear to have any KP bumps other than the scabs. I don't know how easy it is to photograph the KP bumps so my criticism is not flawless, I just don't see what's remarkable about healed scabs. I'd rather see unpicked KP bumps that go away...it is normal for scabs to heal but KP bumps seem to persist until picked or exfoliated. I'm a skeptic. |

I thought the same thing when I saw those pictures. I'm beginning think this site is becoming an Arbonne commercial.

Let me try to clear this up...
Ok, people. Maybe I wasn't clear. The Before arm picture is of my left arm, untreated. The scabs are bumps that I picked (I'm terrible about picking!). The after arm is of my right arm, that was also bumpy, but I used the system for 2 weeks on it (and not the left arm). As you can see, even a terrible picker like myself has nothing to pick! These pictures were taken at the same time, in the same light, same location. I just used the products on one arm, but not the other for my own personal comparison. Then people started going, "Wow, your arm is starting to look a lot better, you should take pictures." So I did.
As far as this being like a commercial, I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm just really excited about finding something that works for me. Isn't this forum about sharing what works, what doesn't? I think some people might be relieved to hear that there are success stories out here, that you don't have to live with it after all (my dermy told me to "get used to it" when I was diagnosed. Ha!) And, I'm not the only person who's had success with Arbonne. Check out Janae's before and after pics. The pics aren't the highest quality, but you can see a huge difference in the blotchiness. No more redness for her!Just remember, we're not forcing you to try the products, we're only telling you about what worked for us. I understand you're skeptical. After all, who among us KP'ers hasn't spent a bunch of $$ on products that didn't work (I once bought 24 coconuts and sat in a tepid bath of the milk at a friend's suggestion. No luck )? You don't have to take my word for it. Try them yourself and post your own results. Just remember to take good Before and After pictures, I want to see results!![]() Last edited by allisonsullivan; 07-16-2006 at 08:21 PM. |

I have to say that that is a very big improvement, however that kinda looked more like acne pimples as opposed to kp, but still there was quite a bit of improvement. |

Thanks, Brian (i felt stupid to ask, but i'm not lingo-savvy)
The acne look (red welts) was due to my squeezing on the bumps until I had little volcanoes. They never produced any pus, just little kernels of keratin and a coiled hair from each one... gross, but it was strangely satisfying to rid myself of them. They probably would've looked much better if I'd left them alone, but I'm so bad! |

That before picture doesn't look like KP at all. You have visible openings around your hair follicles. Someone with KP wouldn't have that. Looks like acne too me.

Well, talk to my dermatologist, then. And my General Practicioner. And my mom, sister, aunt, & daughter. We all have (or had) it and we've all been diagnosed by different Dr.s
The openings are from the fact that I've dug my nails into the bump, scratched the plug out, and then squeezed the remaining hole. I wasn't planning on getting so descriptive, but jeez, you guys really are skeptical! Acne doesn't usually appear on the upper arms and thighs only (it's usually on the back and shoulders, chest, and face, mostly). That's where my KP is, upper arms & thighs. I also got KP when I became pregnant with my daughter, 4 yrs ago (it's linked to hormone fluctuations). Incidentally, from what i've read on this forum, everybody's KP looks a little different, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear from a few more people with different KP. |
