Question Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Body Creme

Hey all,

I was just wondering if any of you KP sufferers have tried the Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Body Creme. I have read in a magazine that it works to soften and exfoliate the thick skin on your arms and legs to remove bumps/rough patches. Is this true?

I am going to purchase one of those NeoStrata products everyone is talking about, and maybe this body creme. Do I put the creme on after the NeoStrata product? Or just at night? Or when? Lol, I'm not too sure..

Thanks for any advice!

The Eucerin actually makes my kp more red But everyone reacts to everything different so it's always worth a try!

I've tried it

It's VERY thick, heavy, and greasy. I don't like putting it on my arms (where my KP bumps are the worst). I do like putting it on the soles of my feet, especially the heels, because it helps keep them smooth and prevent cracking.

Eucerin lotion

I tried this lotion for a long time and I have kp all over really bad. It never helped my kp and just felt greasy.

Smile

Don't know. But one lotion that has always helped is Am Lactin with 12% lactic acid or just ammonium lactate lotion with 12% lactic acid.

AmLactin gave me a burn so I steer clear of the lotions with acid. As for Eucerin being specifically for arms and legs, my tube says "smooths rough areas, especially elbows, feet, and knees". I think rough elbows, feet, and knees are different from KP.

well the magazine had it under Arms and Legs.. lol I was just quoting what it said.. i never tried the stuff.
And I went to a website for the creme and it says
"Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Body Creme
Clinically proven to reduce bumps and rough spots, this rich alpha hydroxy creme exfoliates dry, rough and bumpy skin associated with keratosis pilaris."
Thats why I posted this thread. I want to know if it really works.

It's not expensive so you could try it and see; it really works well to keep my heels moisturized and prevent cracking. It seems like everyone's KP responds differently to different creams. Because the cream is so heavy and greasy, I would recommend using it at night. The other reason I stopped using it on my KP arms is that I started getting a lot of acne-like pimples (maybe it exacerbated the KP??) so it seemed worse. I did not use it very long on my KP, maybe a week. Perhaps it has to get worse before it gets better...I just didn't like the way my arms felt with it on.

Thumbs down Bah

Well I bought the Eucerin cream and applied it today right after my shower
It was really thick and absorbed really quickly but left my arms with a sheen and it was kinda sticky and still feels sticky.. ew.
Umm.. yes so I'm not sure if I should keep using it, but my arms feel gross now.

Smile works for me

that's interesting how different of results the Eucerne creme can have....
well i've tried alot of different cremes and stuff...
some make it better...for a while then all the sudden start making it worse....really frustrating anyways i've been usuing the Eucerine Intensive Repair Body Creme and it seems to work fairly well for me
the only complaints i have with it are

1. the greasy factor
2. the sunburn alert.....i love the sun

so atfirst i was just putting it on at night so it would be uhh..well un-greasy by morning but then there was the problem with the greasy bedsheets....not cool
to combat that i cut off some old socks (i cut em off right at the ankle) and put them over my arms.....but since i have lots of hair on my arms it made it stand up funny when i would take the socks off in the morning =/

so yeah anyways if i use that now i only put on a very tiny amount...a little goes a long way with this stuff!

but i found something else that i thought would work

Eucerin PLUS Intensive Repair Lotion
yup lotion waaaay thinner than the body creme
and.....no sunburn alert! ^_^ yay!

so you might want to try that
for me i wasnt sure if it was causing a couple more for me or if it was another cleasner i used before i put it on

on a side note....
has anyone tried using the Eucerin Redness Relief Soothing Cleanser or any of the products from the redness relief line?

Yeah, I just put it on now and waiting like almost an hour and its still greasy when I touch my arms so I dont wanna put a shirt on and have it stick to my skin.. ew. So i took a kleenex and dabbed at my arms but theyre still greasy. its funny how the bottle says non-greasy formula. LIARS! lol..
Hmm I didnt know there was a lotion.. problem is I live in Canada and I got this creme from the states soo.. its hard to return something lol for something else. Anyways, thanks for your advice, I'll try some other methods. Fingers crossed.

Christina- try extra virgin coconut oil. It is oily when you put it on, but it soaks into your skin and your skin stays soft and smooth all day long. I use it everywhere, not just where the KP is.
