Ah it's so good to know there are fellow Brit KP sufferers.
I often find people mentioning creams that help KP only to discover that you can only buy them in the US - very annoying!

Does anyone know of any regular moisturising creams that aren't specifically for KP but contain ingredients like alpha-hydroxy acids or salicylic acid that will help reduce the appearance of KP... some of the ones that are specific for KP are quite expensive considering my KP isn't that severe.

Hi Celestial:

Koru kp Cream/Lotion/Butter all contain sodiun lactate (not ammonium lactate which is in Lac-Hydrin/AmLactin). Sodium Lactate is a very efficient, buffered AHA moisturiser. I will gladly send orders for Koru kp to the UK, or anywhere else in the world (US included!)...!

Hi Lafemmesubaya!

Sure thing, if you would like to contact me at info@koru.co.nz, we can make the arrangements offline. Cheers

Celts, Cheaper USA products and Brimstone and Treacle

An old fashioned remedy is to take sulphur - known as brimstone ( yes, brimstone and treacle).

Haven't a clue whether it works but if if it's on the little bottle counter of tinctures and things at Boots - maybe worth a try.

Celts

Unfortunately missed of first bit of my reply which said :

Apparently KP is prevelant in those of a Celtic background.

If you've got a friend in the USA get them to buy stuff for you and send it to you - marked GIFT.

Recipe:

Neutrogena liquid soap
Oil free cleanser
10 percent flowers of sulphur

The usual buffing process. don't know whether it works but maybe worth a try as cheap.

Apparently you can eat/drink it - Homeopathic remedy - for skin problems...costs around a fiver. available on Baldwin's website. Have ordered some but haven't a clue whether it works as yet.

.........and you can add flowers of sulphur to Neutrogena and oil free cleanser - see recipe on other posting which was the first part of the one that you read but got left off. so sorry for confusion.

Gidday Lafemmesubaya:

Our website (www.koru.co.nz) is now much better, the PayPal thing is so much easier to use, you can just go straight to using a credit card if you wish. (without having so send e-mails back and forth)

Cheers!

Thanks Annu

Just waiting for paypal to credit and Ill order soon.

Regarding the sulphur question!!!

As for the sulphur it is well known as a skin mineral and blood purifier. You can take it in the form of New Era tissue salts too! UK company called "Higher Nature" do MSM (the proper name for the stuff) in tablet, cream and Lotion. Its a bit of a cure all so maybe some of you can try that too, highly recommended. My skin is improving at the moment due to the heat wave we are experiencing at the moment becuse I have to put lots of lotion on to avoid my skin drying out and burning. My skin lurrrvves the sun.

It sounds odd, but I've toyed with trying Sandal Scandal by Benefit. It is blissful for my feet and softens them overnight. But as I've had quite good results with Rough Skin Remover by Scholl and Coconoil, I'm not going to upset the balance just yet. But I have been using it on my elbows (dark, rough skin), and it seems to be having a good effect. It is 10% AHA I think.
