Hi!!!! This "inseide the elbow" thing also happened to me. Try putting only where you have KP. I once posted about this product, I guess in January 2006 and NO ONE cared about it!!!!! It's on the Thread " 2 Ways To Treat KP". But it's fine... I only use the Ultra Smoothing Lotion 10% because: A) I really think it HAS to be a lotion, because we have DRY skin. B) It's TOO much to use 2 products like that! Your skin will peel off if you use too much of it, because what it does is that it renews your skin much quicker and as a result it thins out your skin. That's why thisisme and I got our skin irritaded. Anyways, This product is amazing and I'm glad you all have find it!!!!! Cheers!!!!!!! TheShotOne |

That's sooooo odd... Keep using it TWICE a day. I don't have the solution, I have the 10AHA Lotion, but still...Just keep putting it...It's amazing that your KP has NOT cleared at least a little. Please, keep putting it. End the bottle (but apply 2 times a day) and then come back here and post the results. Cheers, TheShotOne ![]() |

Use something with alfabisabolol or Green Tea to end the redness... I heard Elicina is good too, but I haven't tried it... I have a liquid body soap that has Alfabisabolol and Green Tea and they do help with the redness. I have to say I haven't use it enough or religiously to tell you exactly how good they are, but if you search on them, even at dermadoctor, you'll find that they are anti-inflammatory, so they will reduce the redness. Other thing that is know to reduce redness is Peroxide Benzoil. It's also a anti-inflamatory. Many people with acne use this to prevent pimples/zits/acne. My aunt has this stupidly invisible amount of KP, mainly the redness. She doesn't care about it, but when she does care, she uses Benzoil Peroxide at 10% and the KP is gone, that's what she tells me. I've never actually seen it. Good Luck, Hope it helped, TheShotOne ![]() |

I purchased the stuff but haven't had to use it. The results that I've had with meat tenderizer, vinegar and coconut oil have been amazing. I have some brown scars left on the lower arms so I'm not really wearing short sleeves yet...but there is no reason why I can't....and I'm going to the beach again this weekend!!!!

I had a bad reaction from the lotion after about 3 weeks of use. When I switched from using it once a day to twice a day I got an itchy rash. I discontinued use right away. I got some Arbonne samples and switched over to those and my rash went away. I may just use the Arbonne on my face and Neostrata on my arms. I agree with previous posts that although my skin felt smoother with the Neostrata the redness didn't improve much at all. That is half the battle.

Self Magazine's answer to KP
Has anyone had any success with the neostrata oily skin solution or any other neostrata product? I have been using it for a couple of weeks only once a day though. My kp seems a little less red then it used to be, but that is about it! I am interested to see if it is still working for anyone or if anyone is still using it? Thanks!

I see Neostrata also makes an anti-redness cream. Has anyone tried that?

It's the acid in these products that has the potential to affect KP by exfoliating. So the stronger the acid, the faster it will work. I used the Oily Skin solution 8 for a few weeks, then switched it out for the AHA 15 lotion, twice a day. This has nearly twice the acid as the Oily Skin Solution.
IT WORKS !! However, it works very slowly. I did not start seeing results until about 6 weeks into treatment, and even then it was a slow process. I am about 9 weeks in now, and all my bumps are totally gone. But there are still red dots in some areas. Very faint. I think in another month or so, they will be totally gone. Will keep you posted. But YES, Neostrata AHA 15 DOES WORK ! It is the best product I've ever used - Actually it is the only product I've ever used that has actually worked on my KP. The most amazing thing is that the skin looks and feels smooth, and the HAIR is growing back! Even in my most severe areas of KP, there are fine hairs growing there now, where they used to all be trapped in the bumps. Don't bother with the Oily Skin solution - The lotion is the way to go, but you must be patient ! |
