New and wondering about Dead Sea Salt
Hi Everyone,
I am new here. I have been looking through the forum a few times and decided to register and post a question. I am wondering if anyone has tried using dead sea salt for their KP. I have had KP almost my whole life. I am 27. My three year old son has it but no red dots...yet. When I went to the FL state fair, these people sold me on dead sea salt for my KP...Basically you take a good amount....dissolve it with very hot water. After you skake it it, the sea salt will sink...the water then ends up with an oily texture...you rub it on your skin(the water not the salt) Let it sit for a minute and rinse it with cool water...you follow it up with a lotion. My skin gets smoother but I have not used it religiously enough to see real results. Has anyone else tried it? Thank you! Aldara |

Sorry, no I haven't tried that. I have used salt scrubs though. Nothing seems to work for me, but I am like you and probably don't give things enough time. I just get discouraged if I so NO difference in the first few days.

Re: New and wondering about Dead Sea Salt
I am actually in the process of trying it now. I have seen some improvement but it seems as though I have to use a lot of salt to get the bath water to the point where it will work, but that perhaps is because the water where I live is super hard. At any rate, my skin does seem to be softer after using it along with the dead sea salt soap for two weeks, so it may vary well be possible that it is a solution, at least to some degree, considering the fact that a huge part of what contributes to KP is dryness. Hope this helps.
