http://www.corialabs.com/conditions.html Conditions We Treat Hyperkeratotic skin disorders Keratosis pilaris Has anyone been prescribed Salex for their keratosis pilaris? NYCgirl Spectator (8/9/05 4:36 pm) Reply Re: Salex for keratosis pilaris This must be pretty new because I haven't heard of it yet, but then again I haven't been to the dermatologist in quite a while either. Sounds like a great treatment though. vj81 Spectator (8/15/05 10:05 pm) Reply Re: Salex for keratosis pilaris Anyone tried this? chris Spectator (8/23/05 4:35 pm) Reply Re: Salex for keratosis pilaris I was just given a prescription for Tazorac. I wonder why my derm didn't prescribe this. http://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/eh.gif MrsDux Newbie Posts: 3 (8/31/05 7:45 pm) Reply Re: Salex for keratosis pilaris Yup... didn't workhttp://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/lonely.gif I have only had KP for about a year (I just turned 29!) The derm said salex was new and I could be a guinea pig. I used as directed, and nothing. I also have been using KP duty. Nothing... poo! I don't know what to do. Salex may work for you, though. KPsucks Newbie Posts: 1 (9/18/05 12:20 pm) Reply Re: Salex for keratosis pilaris I too developed KP in my 20s on the back of my arms (as did my younger sister at the same age) -- never had it as a kid. Now my 2 year old son has it bad on his cheeks, arms, thighs & buttocks & his dermo recommended Salex which we've been using for 3 weeks with very little improvement (except on his face). We're going to continue it for another 3 weeks just to see if anything changes. If not, we'll start him on a treatment I found that works well for me. I tried AmLactin/LacHydrin at the recommendation of my dermo & it did nothing. The best treatment I've found so far is "Paula's Choice 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid Lotion" (buy it on www.paulaschoice.com). Have been using for almost a year paired with using a loofah with "Dove Nutrium Body Wash" in the shower daily, and my arms look the best they have in years. Living in Arizona, I wear tank tops all the time & for the first year in a long time I am no longer self-conscious of my arms. Before I discovered "Paula's Choice", I used "Neutrogena Multi-Vitamin Acne Treatment" which worked OK. It's such a frustrating problem & I'm amazed that with so many people having this skin condition, that there hasn't been a cure or real treatment! Good luck & hope this helps. las83 Spectator (9/26/05 1:18 am) Reply ive used it about a month ago, i started using salex in the morning and differin at night on my arms and neck. ive seen a little improvement so far, and hopefully it gets even better bekajune80 Spectator (9/26/05 3:07 pm) Reply http://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/smiling1.gif Salex lotion I have had kp for years and have been to many dermo docs. They kept giving me things that never worked. Finally a few months ago I went to a new dermo and he gave me some samples of Salex. A few days later all of my bumps were completly gone. It really worked for me. Try it. linda Spectator (10/5/05 9:53 am) Reply http://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/smiling1.gif Salex I was born with "fish-like" skin, and have been to so many dermatologists through the years. Salex is the ONLY thing that worked.... and immediately I might add. valentinit Spectator (10/24/05 11:20 am) Reply http://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/smiling1.gif salex It really worked well for me... sorenne Diva-in-traininghttp://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/dit.gif/ Posts: 17 (11/4/05 11:06 am) Reply Re: SalexT for keratosis pilaris That sounds about right. A product that works well for some, but not for others. KP is elusive in that way. There's not a "universal" solution for KP. http://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/blue_eyes.gif jldwildcat Spectator (5/1/06 7:50 pm) Reply http://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/smiling1.gif how do you use the salex? I saw some directions online for salex that said to soak the area for 5minutes with water before applying, then to put on a bandage or wrap afterwards until morning. Is that much work really necessary to see results? How fast did you see results? I've been blindly trying everything but none works yet. http://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/sad.gif jolie Spectator (5/7/06 9:48 pm) Reply Re: how do you use the salex? Hi Sakiria, you have to get a prescription for Salex from your doctor or dermatologist. http://www.beautyfashionandstyle.com/blush.gif |
