I'm new to this forum. I've had
KP since early elementary school (going to be a junior in highschool next year) but I can't remember exactly when I first had it or when I didn't have it. I really actually didn't find out the exact name for what I had until today. I ,like a lot of other people, thought I was the only one suffering from it but am glad to see so many people understand what I go through. Anyone who doesn't have
KP that sees this forum may think we're insane, but it really does affect your life.
I have
KP on my upper arm and forearm, my chest, and then the type of
KP on my cheeks/jawline/throat/neck area, and then I have the red dots on my legs but no bumps. I have to say the most annoying one is the facial type. With the arms, whenever I wear a tanktop or swimming suit I feel like that is all that people are looking at.
My regime usually is a moisturizing and a good scrubbing every now and then. But as you all know, usally all it does is smooth things down for about two days but it still looks just as ghastly. I'm pretty determined to get the problem under some control through diet change and external treatments even if it takes a few years. I realized I had a problem with it this morning when I went shopping for clothes and found that my clothing choices were ruled by how my skin looked.
This forum is great though, looks like a lot of possibilities on here and plenty of new ideas to try! I'll keep you posted on my progress.
