I want to write because I want to tell people with mild KP (reddish arms, butt, a little on legs) what has been workng for me for quite some time to the poin where I do not think about my KP.
Now, a year ago at this time, I thought about my KP 24/7 and I even got myself into a depression. I now take prozac, and I realize that my obsession with KP had a bit to do with obsessive compulsiveness,
NOW, this has been my regimen for half a year and it works beautifully.

In the shower, i lather the KP areas with MSM soap (my brand is called "Born again") and leave it on for three minutes. After, I use a pumice sponge (NOT stone) and gently circle the areas - about 3 seconds per 3 square inches. After, I do not use any lotion. This didn't work right away for mr- it took about 2 weeks until the nastiest bumps went away.

The other thing I do to control thje redness on the part of my arm that bothers me aesthetically is use Eucerin red relief daily perfection lotion. I use it in the warm weather to cover up the redness- it works like a charm! It is gooey, so you have to rub it in and it takes soem time until you figure out exactly how much is needed.

The last thing I should mention is that two years ago, I had a lot of thick dark hair all over my legs, arms and butt (I am female). I did laser hair removal and now I am not only hair-free, but those areas are much smoother and have much less KP.

Again, I have mild KP (noone else can see it except for me, except for my left arm which is pretty red).

Great news that you have this under control, I've also tried laser hair removal but not on my thighs, I have had great results on my bikini line with IPL, but when I tried it for my lower legs a while back I have lighter hair & I think they used the wrong laser (coolglide). I was told it could make the bumps worse so I stopped when I saw some on my calves - which could have been coincidental. What laser did you use? I think I will add the soap on my list of things to try thanks :-)

i've noticed kp seems to be worse on the left arm..cuz it's like that on mine..and i've seen it mentioned on other posts..weird

How many laser treatments did it take to experience total hair removal? I know someone who owns a laser hair removal place, and he said it's never a sure thing.

oh wow. the Kp on my left arm is worser than my right arm too, but the Kp on my right leg is worser than my left leg. kinda wierd isn't it? i've always wondered why it was like that.

Thats so weird! Mine is worse on my left arm, too. I wonder why....Maybe we're all right handed?
