On the Nutiva website click on STORE LOCATOR and type in either your city, zip or state and let it search stores that carry the nutiva coconut oil. That is how I found the store that carries it here in Orlando, FL. hope this helps. ![]() |

sorbet are you talking about Microdermabrasion Body Polish? It has coconut oil? I am using the nutriva coconut oil for almost a week and I didn't see much difference.

Sorry I just posted a message just now and don't think it got through, just to say that I had posted an earlier message in the end of last month that I was going to try two products that I had used to clear an earlier bout of Psoriasis that I had last year. All the products are natural and read about this in The Times newspaper supplment which is highly recognised here in London. I sourced the column writer and the product that was suggested to clear Psorisais from The Little Herbal Company http://www.littleherbal.co.uk/ it did the job and I had only used one course of the cream and some of the tablets and it cleared my arms and legs immediately from which before looked like measles. It was awful. My G.P put me on steroids and I was forever checking all the sites for a cure. Thankfully the Themba and Simba cleared my problem.
Anyway I decided to write back to the Little Herbal company why my KP didn't get cured when I was taking the medication just the Psorisais and she mentioned I should have taken it for a longer time say 3-4 months to see some results. Well on June 1 after having recv a batch of Simba and Themba took the tablets three times a day and the cream, the cream ran out about a week after as I was so keen but thought let me persist with the tablets and would order a new batch of cream this week. I used the Coconut oil for about a week which was great for my dry legs but didn't see any major change with the roughness on my arms and spots that are there and also on the back of my thighs etc... anyway Day 14 tonight I noticed that my right thigh is completely smooth and 50% of the spots have cleared up - on my left thigh it looks exactly and feels the same - no change. My upper arms feel the same but have noticed a slight change in the smoothness on the right side on the front - well what can I say other than something is changing - I can give 100% testimony that this stuff cured my Psorisais on just about 1 lot of cream which I have never had to reorder apart from this month to try it out for KP, so for over a year it worked on the other problem without having to top up or buy more products. Well I'll keep you posted and relay my findings. I do feel pleasantly surprised and holding out for 100% clear skin. |

Read MorningBell's post a week ago and thought I might give it a try. I have sticking to jojoba oil until now (absorbs fast, makes my kp less red, etc.).
Now, I didn't find that precise virgin coconut oil she was talking about, I only managed to get my hands on natural monoi (my brand is Hei-Poa). It is used as a sunscreen/hair lotion by the people in Tahiti. It is 90% pure virgin coconut oil with natural sents (tiare flowers, vanilla, etc.). I never wanted to use coconut oil since I had read somewhere it was highly comedogenic. But I remembered stealing my mother's when I was a kid, and since it often comes with vanilla extracts (smells great) in it, I decided to buy some for old times 'sake. From the first application, it dramatically improved my Kp. After I scrub, I put it on my wet skin and rince away the surplus. I feel comfortable all day long and my back is blemish-free! As for the redness & bumps, they are 80% gone; without the use of salicylic acid (wich tends to make my skin looking worse lately, dunno why). Also, monoi is quite cheap ($10 for 4 oz, and I use very little each time). So thank you MorningBell for your tip and for making me trying out this coconut oil I had been ignoring for so long...! |

Hi , I just found out that I have KP. And saw your post. I am trying to educate myself on everything and keep getting conflicting advice so if you could tell me where you purchased the nutiva stuff and what do you use to exfloiate your skin. And did you leave it on? I was unsure. Thanks so much.

Making a breakthrough on my left side of body
Hi all,
I've been kind on updating you guys on my progress since the 1st June using now only one product Simba (Hypoxis Hemerocallidea) taking the tablet three times a day and used to also use Themba a cream from the same company but stopped as I ran out but will order some more this week. Anyway, the back of my left thigh is 75% cleared, it's still the same on the right thigh very dark brown/red spots but have noticed that it's alot smoother. My right arm is slowly clearing, the small bumps are still there (Im Indian descent) so still very obvious I have KP but can see a gradual transformation - I've had this since I was in my teens. I have highlighted before that the Themba cream cleared my psoriasis last year and have never had to reapply the cream again after only using one batch. I wrote to the suppliers why it didn't clear my KP then but she mentioned I should use it for at least 3-4 months. I'm very optimistic and postitive with the changes. I did try coconut oil and saw no immediate changes for the KP so stopped and thought let me just focus on the Simba medicine. Well so far so good, I am intrigued how it's first clearing the right side of my body first and would be good to get a medical perspective from this. I've also joined a Pilates class which has been a great boost to my sense of self esteem. I'm drinking lots of water and watching my diet to avoid lots of dairy products. I'm taking some of my kids Omega 3 Fish oil syrup which can't be bad. So fingers crossed and really impressed so far. |

Okay I am starting to try this
Hi All! Well I finally broke down and bought the coconut oil today to see how it would work with my KP. i had been using the Eucerin lotion(the creme makes my skin too oily) and nothing was really happening. So I just got done taking a shower and followed Morningbell's directions. I probably have to exfoliate better tomorrow but my skin feels moisturized. I will give it a few days and write an update. I love natural products and firmly believe God put them on this planet for a reason. I am going to see how it does on my skin and i may try it on my three year old who has KP(minus the exfoliation of course). Well I will update on friday and let everyone know how it has worked.
Blessings Aldara P.S. It smells so good! |

Hi Everyone!
Well here is my update I promised...sorry it took so long to post...my parents came to visit for the long weekend! My skin looks awesome...The bumps are slowly starting to disappear and the red dots seem to be lessening in appearance. I think my problem is that i do not exfoliate as well as I should because today i did a body scrub then i followed it with a good scrub down with those shower gloves and the bumbs are almost gone. Anyway I will update in another week and let everyone know how it is going! Blessings Aldara |

Here is my one week post after using Nutiva Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.
My skin has never felt better in my life. EVER! The KP on the back of my arms is starting to improve- less bumps, way less red dots and the redness is almost completely gone. I also think I need to exfoliate a little better but I have really sensitive skin so I was trying to be careful. After just one week I am so happy with the progress so far. Here is the other thing. I have only been able to shave my legs about once a week because of razor burn and serious sensitive skin including the red dots of KP. I have been using the coconut oil on my entire body (not my face). So the second day I was using the lotion I decided to shave my legs with it! Very bold decision on my part b/c everything I have ever shaved with has made me break out. Anyway, no problems at all and by far the softest skin ever on my legs. I even shaved two days later even though it was not really necessary just to see what happened. Again no problems and super soft skin days later. I then decided to use it as a deep conditioner on my hair and left it on for about six hours. My hair was so soft and shiny and my DH was shocked ( he of course made fun of me for slathering oil all over my hair for the day) and could not stop touching it. So when I went back to work today, my coworker commented on how great my hair looked and asked when I had gotten it hilighted. (I have not gotten my hair hilighted in over 4 years) The warning there may be that it could lighten darker hair so check into that first. So, in summary, I love this stuff and I will keep you updated on my results. Once I get this under control I can move on to the KPFR with my face! Thanks everyone for this site!!!! |

go to the Nutiva website and do store locator. I got mine at the Better Food Store and there were 2 other health food stores in my area that carried it. I went with the one that had it on sale.
If you cannot find the Nutiva Brand, make sure that you get the Extra Virgin Coconut Oil with nothing else added. It looks like a solid white cooking oil (think Crisco in the solid form) I did an online search to find out more about coconut oil and it looks like Nutiva is one of the more popular brands but there is also one that had the same processing etc. and seemed just as good. Sorry, I can't remember the name of it. Good luck finding it. |
