Cool Update!

* UPDATE *

I have been using Nutiva's product religously for about 5 days now as directed by Morning Bell (minus the pumise sponge, as that always makes my extra-sensitive skin worse, soap or no; I use a light exfoliating brush or sponge instead). I LOVE the stuff; it stays on my skin throughout the day, and I have no need to put lotion on after my shower anymore. HOWEVER, although it is a bit smoother, my KP (redness and all) is still present. I will keep using the coconut oil, even if my KP shows no further improvement, as it is just a great product in general.

Thanks Morning Bell.

One more question: I just started a job at a park. As a result, I am spending quite a bit of time in the sun. Could anyone recommend a good, all natural (but effective at blocking UVA and UVB rays) sunblock for me? Thanks!

Peace!

Namaste,
Green Bean

Aww..I just placed an order for Nutiva last Friday and was really lookin forward to it. Now that I've read Greenbean's post, my hopes have gone down..sniff sniff.

I should receive it in mail today or tomoro. I'll cross my fingers and still go thru with the routine provided by morning bell..

ms1980 -

Please do NOT feel discouraged! Everyone is different; just because my KP was not effected as much as Morning Bell's does NOT mean it won't help you. Furthermore, let me say again how great the product is anyway. It's really helped my dry skin. So don't feel discouraged!

***A little sun really helps my KP. As I explained above, I just started a job at a park, and have been out in the sun quite a bit. The KP on my arms has dramtically reduced from the combined effects of the sun and the coconut oil.***

Peace!

Namaste,
Green Bean

I emailed the company today who provided me the ointment that treated my Psoriasis effectively with no return. And mentioned if they could provide any suggestions for the KP, I was told I should give it more time and stick to it at least 5-6 months to see some results for the KP and also associate this with some other product 'Simba' as well as 'Themba' well I ordered today another batch and will perserve with it. I know for sure that with just one batch of cream on my legs last year cleared my Psoriasis completely and my G.P was amazed as the steroids had no effect and was told that I had to live with this condition. It's good when sometimes things can turn around and never accept that this is a finality, there is always hope and if I did listen to my G.P and accept the Psoriasis as a way of life, and his words 'live with it' would not have researched further.

I really pray there will be an ultimate cure for all, look at modern technology and the advancement of science and medicine - my eldest son who is now aged 16 developed Retinablastoma when he was a year old that is cancer in the eye, he had to have his left eye removed within days to save his life to avoid the cancer reaching his optic nerve. He had his left eye removed and had an artificial eye placed. Over the years I have seen my son just blossom to a very handsome lad, he does all sports like judo and football and used to enjoy gokarting. Just a few years ago they identified the gene for Retinablastoma so that when my son has children this can be screened. In 1990 they would just operate, but now there is so much sophisticated technology and medicine. This could very well be around the corner for KP.
I have faith that there is nothing that cannot be defeated or overcome, the greatest weakness is when we doubt not only our own limitations but doubt there is hope.

I

Yeah! And let us now how it goes... Again, it's a great product (I am still using it).

Although I am familiar with the show (one of my best friends is a HUGE fan, actually), "namaste" is a phrase my mom taught me when I was little. I have always loved it.

Peace!

I have this organic extra virgin coconut oil in my cabinet! I bought it about a month ago since I've been on this organic kick. I'm not sure if it's Nutiva though. I'll try it nonetheless and see what happens. I'm so desperate, I'll do just about anything at this point.

(Day 1 for me) Hi I recvd my order yesterday for the Themba/Simba and coconut oil and just can't say enough how much the coconut oil has such a nice effect on the skin (Thank you). I went out last night and did notice a real change and that's only day 1. It's still feels very rough on the upper part of my arms but I'm going to perservere. I have made an effort to drink a lot more water. i took some pics on the webcam yesterday of my skin and going to monitor my progress in a written journal -

HI everyone I am new to this forum. I had KP all my life on my thigh, leg, butt, and arm since I was alittle girl. I am so glad that I have found this forum. I just got my coconut oil yesterday, used it last night and I did see some improvement. Although my spot are still there and there some rough spot. I was wondering how do you apply the coconut oil on your body? Do you use your hand or a soft sponge?

IN the cream of http://www.pearsonspromise.com is also coconut-oil.
I'm using the system now for almost a week and it really helps!(better than the cinique spray and loreall exfotonic) The scrub is super. I think that coconut-oil doesn't clog the pores. I find it worth to buy it ( even to europe).

i really like the coconut oil a lot. It has helped the best by far. Kp's not really noticeable anymore. but it's not a miracle cure...like i think if i stopped..it would come right back.
