And 90% of my picking is at stoplights!) which could exascerbate the problem. I don't pick the right side as often, b/c it's not as easy to do with my left hand. Plus, the appearance is worse (and scarring) on the left arm, from all that picking. Having said all this, I should mention that I haven't had any problems with picking since I healed up, so all this should be in the past tense. |

Any coconut oil will work. Just be sure that it is Extra Virgin, Organic and Cold or expeller pressed. Those are the most important things to look for.....otherwise, the brand doesn't matter. If you are going to start cooking with it AND use it on your body, then you would want to choose based on taste as well. Hope this helps. Also.....I think that some people were finding Nutiva brands EVCO on eBay. You may wanna check there if you haven't already. Good luck and best wishes. |

And, I have a question for you, Allison. Have you ever used the Figure 8 Vanish (scrub & lotion)? On your KP...just to see what it would do? I have been using it on my thighs, and I just wondered if that might be another reason they look so good. I virtually have no signs of KP on my legs anymore. So, last night, just out of curiosity, I put some on my right arm, in just a little spot, and this morning, that spot was clear as a bell. So today, I used it on my right arm, which sometimes still shows little 'dots', and on my left, which is pretty clear now. I want to see what happens. I may put some more of the lotion on tonight, too. I hope my good arm doesn't get bad again...but if it does, it is for the cause! I will keep you posted on how it does. |

I was wondering about that!!! I didn't get any while it was on special last month and I've been kicking myself ever since! Plus, I didn't want to mess with the good thing I've got going here. Let me know how it goes!
I've been using the mandarin cashmere sugar scrub on my butt (I had a major cystic breakout there for some weird reason) and my husband said today, "oh my gosh, your butt looks so much better". I'll have to take his word on it, b/c I didn't look at it to begin with. It feels smoother... |

It really should be Extra Virgin. Extra virgin is the first pressing and therefore is more concentrated and hasn't lost any of the wonderful nutrients that we are looking for, so is more effective. I am sure that regular coconut oil will be somewhat effective as well....but it isn't "full strength". hope that helped. |

I moisturize in the am and pm anyway so I don't mind....I just rub it in well after the shower...I find that I"m not greasy at all....
I think that only time and maybe some lemons or peels or lasers can help the scars...a tan helps hide it all too! |

Hi
Does it mean that any sort of essential oil will do? Has anyone tried Lavendar, Eucalyptus, or Chemomile? Can I use/apply pure virgin olive oil meant for cooking on my skin? What's your advise? |

i've noticed that my left arm is clearer than my right... i'm right handed, but i've found that the sun helps my kp. I'm from the US so my left arm would get more sun exposure while driving i guess. my arms also look better than my thighs ( would contribute to the fact that i almost always wear pants) so my arm are out in the sun more.
But here's my coconut oil up date: i still have signs of kp. (but i've only been truethfully using my coconut oil routine about every-other-day.) the oil helps some, but i feel my vitamin A intake is helping more. But i still have KP. i was so hoping this was my "cure." I shall keep reading and searching for my "cure." |

Just wondering, has anyone else here tried using EVCO for weight loss? I would like to try it if anyone else has had some success. I'm feeling a bit iffy about consuming the oil just the way it is (because it's OIL!!!) but I don't eat foods everyday that would require my using oil for cooking. Otherwise, I'm willing to pinch my nose and take a quick gulp!!

I can understand the arm out the window & in the sun more, though. KP is just so weird!
