btw annuu, the rose scent is heavenly and i've found that many unscented creams have an unpleasant smell. i wouldn't mind if it were toned down a bit however, the male users may be turned off from your wonderful cream simply because they don't want to smell girly. i've read some great reviews regarding coconut oil diminishing kp in this forum. could you consider a coconut scent? i'll be your guniea pig again!!

Some results from Nebraska:

kp situation
1) Where is your kp located? Entire body: upper and lower arms, calves,
thighs, back, belly, chest, butt, and face
2) How long have you had kp? I can't remember ever not having it.

How do you rate your kp symptoms initially:
Bumps (1 = mild 10 = severe): 10
Redness (1 = mild 10 = severe): 10

How do you rate your kp symptoms after using the cream for 2 - 3 weeks?
Bumps (1 = mild 10 = severe): 8
Redness (1 = mild 10 = severe): 8

Timing
How frequently have you been using the cream ...once, twice or more daily? Twice daily

How long do you think the 50gram jar will last for you? Well, I am only using it on one arm right now because if I used it on my whole body I think I would be through it in a few days! It might last for a month or two with one arm?

Side effects
Any side effects? no

Any undesirable properties of the cream? It can be a bit flaky after it dries. If I rub my arm, it flakes off....it makes my arm look like it is peeling

Cream characteristics
Personal opinions about the cream's properties, how can it be improved?
Make it less flaky when it dries

Should it be in a jar, pump or tube? Jar or pump

How big should the pack be in an ideal world? Enough to cover my entire
body twice a day for a month...im bad at estimating how big the bottle should be 8 oz?

If it could be bought, where would you like to buy it? online

How much should the ideal pack size cost? $10 would be nice, but definitely less than $20. I hate that I have KP over my entire body because it makes dealing with it so much more expensive! I just need so much lotion.

Here is the latest feedback, from a person in California:

kp situation
1) Where is your kp located? Upper Arms (only) and some upper shoulders/back
2) How long have you had kp? For about 8 years

How do you rate your kp symptoms initially:
Bumps (1 = mild 10 = severe): 8.. they arent gigantic but they dont go away. I have the small white keratin bumps
Redness (1 = mild 10 = severe): 3

How do you rate your kp symptoms after using the cream for 2 - 3 weeks?
Bumps (1 = mild 10 = severe): 4. The bumps seem to be minimizing, and my arms feel smoother. I can't tell quite yet with me if it's taking them away but def minimizing. I also have some scarring and redness b/c I pick at the bumps so much. Some bumps are still visible. But I think they are 'cropping' up less.
Redness (1 = mild 10 = severe): 2

Timing
How frequently have you been using the cream ...once, twice or more daily? About once daily, twice when I can remember. I'm bad at using things frequently, but I am really trying with this cream.

How long do you think the 50gram jar will last for you? I am about half done now. I am pretty conservative with the amount I use but try to cover all my arms with it. It spreads out well.

Side effects
Any side effects? None at all.

Any undesirable properties of the cream? No

Cream characteristics
Personal opinions about the cream's properties, how can it be improved? The properties seem to be fine.. it's like a normal lotion with not much of a scent.

Should it be in a jar, pump or tube? Jar seems fine, I may like it in a pump better though.

How big should the pack be in an ideal world?
About 2 x the size of the one I'm using.

If it could be bought, where would you like to buy it?
Easily available drug stores, such as Rite Aid or Walgreens (common drug stores in the states). But I'd also be willing to pay more for it at places like Ulta or Sephora.

How much should the ideal pack size cost?
Depends on how great its working! People with KP will pay ANYTHING. Ideally, I suppose under $20.

Annuu-
That is awesome that you are trying to come up with a REAL solution to managing KP!! Unfortunately, I have just read this and like others, missed out on this opportunity. But, I would be willing to buy a sample to see if it would work on my KP. ???? I have tried everything, it seems!! It's very frustrating! I hope it won't take long for you to come out with this product, it sounds wonderful. I think the rose oil is good, because it is very hydrating for the skin.

Some results just in from a person in Ireland after 1 week's use of Koru KP Cream:

kp situation
1) Where is your kp located?
Backs of my arms, calves, a bit upwards of knees.
2) How long have you had kp?
I think I first thought about it when I was about 16, I have possibly had it for longer but can't remember.

How do you rate your kp symptoms initially:
Bumps (1 = mild 10 = severe): 5
Redness (1 = mild 10 = severe): 6

How do you rate your kp symptoms after using the cream for 1 week?
Bumps (1 = mild 10 = severe): 3
Redness (1 = mild 10 = severe):4

Timing
How frequently have you been using the cream ...once, twice or more daily?
Once a day.

How long do you think the 50gram jar will last for you?
About a month or a little while longer. This is such a good moisturiser I use it all over my legs and arms.

Side effects
Any side effects?
I tried using it on my face as I ran out of my regular moisturiser but it seemed to block pores.

Any undesirable properties of the cream?
Not really.

Cream characteristics
Personal opinions about the cream's properties, how can it be improved?
I imagine I would prefer it a bit lighter.

Should it be in a jar, pump or tube?
I'm thinking a pump would be most comfortable to use and hygenic.

How big should the pack be in an ideal world?
Depends on the package. 150ml?

If it could be bought, where would you like to buy it?
Online.

How much should the ideal pack size cost?
I don't really have a clue. But no one likes 5000pc premium!

I've been reading these forums for awhile, but this is my first post. I've found this thread particularly interesting. I'm a 23 year old male and have had KP for at least 6 or 7 years now. It is on the backs of my upper arms and I would consider it pretty severe compared with the pictures most people have posted. What bothers me most is the redness, not the bumps. I've tried all the dermatologist prescriptions, different scrubbing methods, Pearson's Promise, Eucerin Redness Relief, you name it, and none of that stuff does anything for me in terms of the redness. I see here that most people have experienced a slight to moderate improvement in their KP's redness using the Koru cream, so I'd be willing to give the product a shot once you make another batch Annuu. I'd also send you updates on how it works for me. I think it's great you are trying to devise a serious treatment and take people's input into consideration rather than just sell some worthless overpriced goo using fake testimonials like so many of the other KP cream online vendors do. Good luck with your continued research and I'll check back here often to find out when you have made another batch.

Thanx again annuu for the cream but I'm sorry to say that it hasn't worked out for me My skin is quite dry so oil has been the best for me so far...)

The cream smells good and is easy to apply but the bumps seems the same, they even pop out a bit because my bumps are smaller when my skin is dry or when I rub it in with oil....as far as the redness, my bumps are not red (or they can become abit red when I'm really hot or if I'm in the sun for too long...) but the redness isn't a problem for me...I just HATE the bumps...

Hope it works out better for you guys!

Smile

Hi Leila:

Sorry to hear that the cream didn't work for you. I am realising more and more that everyone's skin is different, so my original idea of a 'one size fits all' cream for kp was probably too simplistic.

Your helpful feedback gave me a better idea, maybe there should be three different formulas:

A light cream (3.5% sodium lactate, 10% urea, 0.75% gotu kola, avocado oil, vitamins A,C,E, fragrance free) for the face, sensitive skins or for younger people.

A regular cream (7% sodium lactate, 20% urea, 0.75% gotu kola, avocado oil, vitamins A,C,E, fragrance free) for the arms and legs. This would be equal to the present Koru kp Cream

A rich butter (7% sodium lactate, 20% urea, 0.75% gotu kola, avocado oil, coconut oil, almond oil, vitamins A, C, E, fragrance free) for those folks who need a rich emollient, but don't like the idea of slopping on messy oil!

This way we can hopefully please everyone by providing a choice... from something light to something more intense. What do you all think?

Thanks for your advice!!

Annuu

Sounds like a great idea! I don't think there is only ONE cream either for everyone and I also believe that combining different creams at differant times can improve your skin too, as for me a thicker butter cream when I go to bed and a not so thick daytime (with oli)...

And how is it going for ur wife?
