hello! my name is kat, i'm 37 years old and i live in southeast georgia with my husband, our toddler, 4 dogs and a cat. i'm a regular on the godsmack message board but new to this one and i'm so grateful this board exists!! immediately after the birth of my son 4 years ago july 23rd, my upper arms broke out badly. many doctors later, i learned i had kp. one derm told me i'd had it my whole life but had never "noticed" it. 'scuse me derm but i do believe i would've noticed this earlier. my skin had always been perfectly clear. after talking to another woman who's kp started the same way, i'm beginning to believe it could possibly be hormonal in some cases. my upper arms look HORRIBLE and i've resigned myself to longer sleeve short sleeve shirts. i miss wearing tanks and i'm so embarrassed for ANYONE to see my arms!! nothing i've tried has made even the smallest difference and it has in fact, worsened. it now seems to be spreading down around my elbows. people who don't have this condition don't understand how bad it is. i'm aware in the grand scheme of things, it isn't serious but it still bothers me sooooo much. anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and tell ya'll my sucky kp experience.
