Its doing pretty well, I mean nothing is going to work overnight but my skin is smoother. I also paid 180 bucks for 30% glycolic acid serum and the super intensive copper peptide serum so i'm hoping that will give my skin a complete overhaul.

We (myself and my young kids) have been using Pearson's Promise products for a while. They work great! Although it started working great within 2 week, it took about a month of continuous use to see a huge improvement (my 4 year old had it really bad).

I found this also on the net & it seemed genuine but oh so expensive to ship to NZ, I wondered if I could bother you to find out just how it is going? Is it still working well? I have the red KP on my thighs do you think it will work for this? Thanks

Pearson's Promise Company products
These products cleared up my family's (children and adults) KP. We had redness on the arms, thighs, and face. From other products I see out there, it seems to be priced less expensive.

I've been using this regimen for almost 2 months now. It certainly makes your skin smoother, but it makes the redness even worse in my opinion, as most lotions, creams, etc. tend to do. Once I run out, I doubt I will repurchase.

You have to use it continuously or it doesn't work. We use the soap and body balm once a day and the microdermabrasion once a week. If you stop using it, the KP comes right back.

Please don't waste your money. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. This is from a person just trying to make money. You can make this yourself. And save a lot of money.

Re: Pearson's Promise??
I've been super interested in trying out Pearson's Promise, but KGB31's post made me sort of scared. So I researched the ingredients in each of the three products and I'm not worried anymore. I'm not a physician, so I can't guarantee the validity of this. However, I tried to compile what seemed to be the consensus about the goodness of each of the products.
Microdermabrasion Body Polish: Aluminum Oxide Crystals – commonly used as an alternative to diamond dermabrasion crystals. Aluminum oxide crystals (the most common abrasive agent used in micro dermabrasion) cause no allergic or adverse reactions. They are neither toxic nor non-carcinogenic. Ultra Hydrating Bath Bar: Propylene Glycol - Used as a moisturizer in medicines, cosmetics, food, toothpaste, mouth wash, and tobacco products Sorbitol - Sorbitol is often used in modern cosmetics as a humectant (a substance used to reduce the loss of moisture) and thickener. Glycerin - This colorless, odorless, viscous liquid is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations, mainly as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication and as a humectant. Glycerol is a component of glycerol soap. This kind of soap is used by people with sensitive, easily irritated skin, because it prevents skin dryness with its moisturizing properties. Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea butter) - Shea Butter is a natural plant extract with exceptional moisturizing properties. West Africans have used it for centuries to treat various skin problems including dry skin, psoriasis, burns, blemishes, eczema, wrinkles and stretch marks. Will not clog pores or block hair shaft, allowing for easy breathing and stimulating growth. Sodium Laureth Sulfate - is a detergent and surfactant (a substance that reduces the surface tension of a liquid in which it is dissolved) found in many personal care products (soaps, shampoos, toothpaste etc.). Products containing this substance can affect those prone to eczema and other irritants. When rinsed off, the product will have cleaned the area but will have taken moisture from the top layers of skin. In people with sensitive skin, the drying property of these detergents can cause flare-ups of skin conditions or may worsen existing conditions. SLES and SLS have been known to become contaminated with 1,4-dioxane, which The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency considers to be a probable carcinogen. While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration encourages manufacturers to remove this contaminant, it is not currently required by federal law. Sodium Stearate - It is the major component of soap along with many types of solid deodorants. A stearic acid salt used as a nontoxic stabilizer. (So basically a necessary ingredient in soap.) Sodium Myristate – Used in a pure white soap base. Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate - synthetic detergent. Technically, an anionic surfactant, meaning it reduces surface tension, making water 'wetter'. Triethanolamine - This ingredient is used as a pH balancer in cosmetic preparations in a variety of different products - ranging from skin lotion, eye gels, moisturizers, shampoos, shaving foams etc. Silk Amino Acids - A natural water-soluble source of acid derived from liquid silk; these acids help moisture penetrate the skin and aid in skin healing. Repairing Body Balm: Pure Virgin Coconut Oil - Anti-aging antioxidants helps skin stay young and diminishes fine lines & wrinkles. It also helps protect against sun damage and to repair the effects of sun damage. Pure Unrefined Shea Butter – See Butyrospermum Parkii. Calendula Oil - Calendula Oil is traditionally used for skin irritation due to chafing, wind, cold or dry air exposure, to help heal dry, cracked or itchy skin, cuts, infected and inflamed wounds, hard-to-heal sores, to decrease the inflammation of sprains, stings, and other swellings, soothes skin irritations, stimulates wound healing, and soothes pain. Calendula oil is often used to aid in lessening scarring after wounds heal and after stitches are removed. Sorry that was so long! But I hope it helped. And if anyone out there happens to be a chemist of some sort, verification would be nice! So overall, it seems (to me) that aluminum oxide crystals aren't really a worry, but Sodium Laureth Sulfate might be. |

Re: Pearson's Promise??
I used this regime religiously for 3-4 months with zero benefit. It's also very price for the quantities they give you. Not worth it at all to be honest.

Re: Pearson's Promise??
Hey,
I just started using the Pearson's Promise 3 step system, and so far have been disappointed. I have moderate KP on my arms, and it appears to have gotten worse after using Pearon's Promise. However, I have only been using it for about 1 week. Does anyone who has tried it know if the KP has to get worse before getting better? Should I continue to stick with it for a while more? Thanks! |
