Question

I bought a different pumice stone because I thought the one I had wasn't abrasive enough. Well, I just used it one my legs to test it out and I look like someone through a million darts at my legs - I used peroxide afterwards becuase I just realized I didn't have any rubbing alcohol in the house...my legs are kind of throbing & my skin feels hot (like I got rug burn) and look horrible....please tell me this is what everyone else looked like after pumicing...I'm scared I scrubbed for too long or too hard!!! And how long does it take for the red rash take to disappear?

I erased all my messages in the "pumice & alcohol" thread. I just can not have that in the back of my mind while I'm gone. I really do care very much about people's outcomes with this technique. However, when I get a message that it hasn't worked for someone, I feel too bad about it. I just want to have a very spiritual trip and I don't want anything in the back of my mind. I hope you all understand.

I think by now, this has helped a lot of people. I can't believe how popular the thread became. If someone else is seeing great results from this method, I hope they will pass it on to others.

I understand some of you may wonder why I felt it necessary for me to erase my messages. The plain and simple reason is I am just not comfortable with giving advice when I am not an expert. If I can't be here to answer questions, I don't want my messages up.

I'll be leaving in a week, and I'll be on the forums until then.

Cheers everyone,

Sometimes I am disenchanted with this site; so many advertising pitches, demanding posts--as if we have answers we're trying to hold back. However, pumicer’s message was wonderful and caring. This method did not work for me, nevertheless, I’m glad it is working so well for many people on this site and that pumicer cares about everyone's results, not just himself.

Talking

To Island Girlie....
The lotion is "define" Vitamin A Resurfacing Treatment www.cosmedix.com but please stop the use of alcohol after scabbing and switch to Tend Skin (can be found at Pure Beaty supply stores). This will make sure the KP doesn't return and use plenty of it with cotton pads.

I am happy to say I am 100% scar, scab, pigmentation and most importantly KP free! However I am not going to participate in this discussion anymore because off all the negativity.

Someone said Pumicer seems like he is back tracking - all I know is that because he cared to share his experiance with others I will enjoy a KP free summer for the first time in 4 years.

So go ahead make judgements, and make it sound as if someone is trying to make you guys s****e and peel off your damn skin. Quick question, for people who have KP on their legs, who shave their legs, doesn't the KP heads get cut off and become all bloody? So should we all walk around with hairy legs then so as not to hurt the KP bumps? I think it is worse neglecting to disinfect your KP bumps.

Anyways, I would love to share more but I choose to no longer be judged and compared to a binge drinker or whatever for wanting to share my excitement over something that works - after all wasn't that the point of this whole site?

I do not have time to go around commenting on other threads regarding methods that I myself have not even tired but I guess other ppl have plenty of time on their hands.

Whatever, I am cured and I am out, goodluck to everyone else.

Pumicer, you seem so sweet and I'm so sorry people have been so rude to you. It was obvious you were helping others. It is NOT YOUR FAULT that some people CHOSE to scrub their skin off! People need to hold themselves accountable for what they do. They need to take responsibility when they CHOOSE a method to try. You were treated unfairly and obnoxiously. Please do not feel badly, enjoy your trip and put this out of your mind. You did not drive over to their houses and s**** their skin off. They did it. *hugs*

Just to answer your question Mia, for me anyways, it doesn't make my KP bleed when I shave my legs. It does make it smoother initially, right after I shave but the bumps always come back.

Lightbulb In the shower

Does anyone know if you are supposed to use the pumice stone in the shower when your skin is wet or when your skin is dry??? I'm going to try this on my upper arms which is only where my KP is.

I think your supposed to do it in the shower when your skin is wet, before doing your whole upper arm, select a section and only use the pumice on that area, so if it does work you can really see the difference, and if this technique dosn't work you wouldve only done it on a small section of your arm..

Smile watch out!

Hi all I wanna say to you guys is watch out, because last winter I was a little too fanatic at the whole scrubbing-business and as soon as the sun saw my arms and they were getting quite tanned, little white scars could be seen from scrubbing off the bumps
so be careful and be patient
it does get better a lot with time + try to be in the sun a lot
another veyr important tip is to drink loads of water, eat a lot of fruit and veggies and to put on baby oil or heavy moisturizer on wet skin , because then it really can soak in.
Good luck from a fellow kp sufferer!

scarring

Yes, I have little white scars too. But, I think they're positively attractive compared to the pimply bumps I had before I scrubbed them off.

ive done the pumicers method and it has been relatively successful. i still have some problems though, so if anyone knows how to help with these, that would be great...
im not sure if my arms are still going to peel (im pretty sure theyre not) but my skin is really dry and the area that i pumiced still doesnt match the normal parts of my arms....i pumiced weeks ago though, so it seems like everything should have healed already
