Thanks for those words. Something in my gut told me to return the kit, and try the pumice sponge. Good thing I did. I have almost smooth skin and $40 more dollars in my pocket...LOL!

Ok, just an update. The pumice sponge is a miracle. It's been less than a week, and I have noticed incredible results. My skin is way smoother. But there is one thing I notice. I still have the hundreds of keratin clumps underneath my skin is some areas. I don't want to pick my skin to get them out. How can I sucessfully get rid of these underground "boogers"? Should I scrub harder? I think once I am able to get to them and get rid of them, I am cured.

Please offer some advise.....

Still good results. As lazy as I am some nights, I still pumice and lotion with bbw. It seems as though my progress has plateaued, but I am not going to give up. This going to be me best KP Summer ever!!!

Ok, my skin is 75% better than when I started, and it has only been 1.5 weeks. Of course, all of the dots are still there, but my skin is as smooth as silk. I am going to start tanning in just about a month to blend the dots to the rest of my skin. Thanks to ACE and sencha for their suggestion of using the Pumice Sponge and BBW Eucalyptus Lotion. This regimen has saved me......

Just an update. I naired for the first time this weekend, since I have started my routine. My skin burned like Holy H*ll, but I made it through.

My KP bumps, not dots, are 90% gone. My skin feels like silk. No complaints. I an going to try to integrate Babydoll's Astringent technique to my regimen, to try to get rid of te dots.

Good luck, and keep us posted! I'm asian and my skin is fiar-medium with tendency for redness ad brown scarring. I have light-moderate KP on arms and thighs. Still finding solution for redness. When I tan the spots get browner

Ok, my current regimen:

1. Astringent rubbed in skin before shower with cotton balls. Wait 10 minutes.

2. Neutrogena Body Clear with Sac. Acid in shower with Pumice Sponge. I scrub vigorously in circular formation.

3. BBW Eucalyptus Spearmint Lotion within 2 minutes of coming out of the shower.

My KP bumps are 90% gone. I am as happy as can be. Some of the black/brown dots are disappearing, but not enough to get happy about. I have never had this much success with any regimen. It takes little time, and not much money. I couldn't be happier.

hey! i just joined the forum and read your skin regimen and you've given me so much hope about clearing my KP problem. I'm dark skinned also (african) and I just found out a couple of days ago online what this condition was called and i'm going to start your regimen as soon as possible!

In relation to this statement, "My KP bumps are 90% gone. I am as happy as can be. Some of the black/brown dots are disappearing, but not enough to get happy about.", I found a website that was targeted at common dark skin problems and the section on KP gave some info that should help you with the remaining black/brown spots. Here's the info directly related to it:

What if my KP bumps are much darker than my skin tone? Sometimes, KP looks like a sprinkling of blackheads, especially on People of Color. Formulations containing alpha hydroxy acid (glycolic or lactic) formulated with lighteners and brighteners along with bleaching soaps can work wonders on KP that is a much darker brown than the surrounding skin. Hydroquinone (HQ) must be allergy patch-tested for three days prior to use unless you have used skin lighteners containing HQ without adverse reactions in the past. Body exfoliants containing AHA and formulated with hydroquinone and skin brighteners are designed specifically for use on hyperpigmented skin if direct sun is avoided and full-spectrum sunscreen is used religiously.

How do skin lighteners fade the spots caused by KP? These products work three ways. First, alpha hydroxy acid softens and exfoliates the buildup of keratin (dead skin cells) that buries the hair follicle. Next, it acts as a “vehicle” to carry skin lighteners and brighteners deeper into the follicles. Last, skin lighteners help inhibit the over-production of dark melanin coloration in the basal layer of the epidermis, but need a vehicle with a small particle size to penetrate deep enough to be effective. Lighteners and brighteners include hydroquinone, kojic acid, mandelic acid, arbutin, bearberry extract, mulberry extract, azelaic acid, licorice root extract, l-ascorbic acid, vitamin K, lemon and lime extract, and others. These ingredients perform best when formulated with a “penetrant” (like AHAs and retinoids) that allows these melanin-suppressors to penetrate the follicle.

There weren't any specific examples of products that have both alpha hydroxy acid and skin lighteners but i guess a skin brightening soap would be fine if you're up for it. I hope your skin is looking and feeling even much better now!

here's the whole link: http://solutionscenter.com/keratosis.html

hope this info helps and once again THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your regimen with everyone!

Exclamation It's a Wrap!!!!

Ok, just an update. My KP is 99% gone, except for a renegade bump here and there that may appear after hair removal. Except for the brown spots, I'm cured (somewhat ). My man can't keep his hands off of my smooth skin!

I have begun tanning, and the brown spots are slowly fading. I am nothing but happy with my regimen. My skin has gotten so much better, that I only use the pumice sponge twice a week.

I haven't been on this site lately, because I seem to be done with my quest for smooth, beautiful skin.

Good Luck to you all and remember to be consistent if you find a regimen that works for you.

Peace and Love!!!

Um... I have a question...is it better to use the pumice sponge two or three times per week or to use it everyday? I've heard other people say that it hurts so...

For the 1st 3 weeks, use everyday religiously until your skin changes. After that, you won't need to pumice everyday. You will be able to tell with time, when to stop pumicing everyday.
