Baby Oil Revisted
I came across a bottle of Johnsons Lavender Baby Oil in the depths of my closet. Since its wintertime and Im all dried out from the indoor heat anyway I decided to try it due to some 2004 posts from chrina2 about baby oil helping her.
Well, its been about two weeks and the bumps are gone and only a slight bit of redness remains. This really works! After trying $$$$ on lotions and treatments that usually just made it worse, this little bottle of mineral oil took care of it. What I do is as soon as I finish showering, before toweling off, I slather a generous amount of baby oil over my upper arms. I think the important part is that my arms are still wet, so I am sealing in the moisture. Then I towel off, patting the arms dry last, so a lot of oil remains. Then in the morning ( I shower at night) I put a little bit more oil onto my dry arms. I dont scrub my arms anymore, or put any other lotions on them. Sometimes I put a little shea butter over the oil, and Im sure any other baby oil brand and/or scent will work as well. I still cant believe this worked! ![]() |

so true
I agree the baby oil is the cheapest and yields the most results! I'm a "beauty junkie"too! But, i am also very tight w/my money and Baby oil is the best. I am not completely kp free, but I'm touchable. I think the Lavender in the j&j brand might help reduce the redness too.

I can't remember the exact thread but there is a lady who "accidently" put some bath beads into her bath. She soaked for about 15 min. After she noticed how soft her skin was she found a pringles cup that her daughter played with as a bath toy. She s****ed her skin and she said it was unbelievable how much skin she s****ed off. I did this and it worked. It's messy but it helped with exfoliating.

is it possible that we are replacing some necessary natural oils with baby oil, and thats helping? there seems to be a link between our lack of oil (sebum) and the baby oil replacement.
