Question Circulation

OK..I might be totally wrong on this lol, but here's my theory..I feel that the red dots that are so hard to get rid of have something to do with the capillaries around the hair follicles not getting good circulation.
Here's a pic to show what I'm talking about:
http://becomehealthynow.com/images/o..._hair/hair.jpg

Here are some reasons why I believe it has something to do with circulation:
  • whenever I'm laying down the red dots on my legs disappear..maybe they get better circulation in this position?
  • when my knees are bent (close to my chest) the dots disappear too..again this could have something to do with better circulation..maybe the blood accumulates in these capillaries when standing up?
  • when I'm putting on lotion and rubbing my legs the dots disappear too..maybe this is helping get the blood moving again..?
I don't know about any of you but I don't excercise much at all which has a lot to do with good blood circulation. My KP appeared in 10th grade..coincidently this is the year that I quit all sports, and exercising on a regular basis.

I also found this at platinumskincare.com:
"Eucalyptus Oil - A strong antiseptic with healing and stimulating properties. A vaso-dilator that improves blood circulation."
Which could possibly be why BBW Eucalyptus lotion works for some??

Well I'd like to know what you all think of this...maybe I could be on to something lol.

This is interesting. So has eucalyptus oil shown results for you? With the bumps, red dots, or both?

The description of your dots and the circulation etc., are identical to my case too. I felt like I could have written it, my circulation/kp is so similar. That's real interesting about the vessels and capillaries affecting the appearance of the bumps. The question is "why". It'll be intersesting to research that in more detail.

How could we research it more?? I was thinking about getting some oil that helps circulation:
http://essentialblend.com/poor_circulation.htm
and I've read that exercising helps circulation..but that's all I know....

That's an interesting theory.
Would explain why my KP is hardly even visable when I first wake up in the morning.

However, I know a few other people with KP and they are VERY fit and exercise regularly....

Worth looking into though!

Maybe that's why we all KP/KPRF people easily get cold feets and hands, bad circulation...

I exercise like crazy and have done ever since I was about 14, I'm now 23 and if anything my KP has gotten worse. The only time it looks any better is first thing in the morning, or while I'm in the shower. But I have been told I have poor circulation.

body brushing will help with circulation. also try to incooperate more warming foods into your diet when cooking such as ginger which is also a natural circulatory stimulant especially to the peripheries (hands and feet)

Further to my previous post, I had a look at my kp when I was in the gym and it's DEFINITELY heaps better while I'm exercising, to the point where it's almost gone.

Circulation problem? I think we have a winner.

I've made up a mixture of Lavendar, tea tree and eucalyptus oils in a base oil of sweet almond to try, will keep you all posted.

The mixture works - it brings down the redness. However it's too oily for daytime use and I can't find a fragrance free base cream to mix the lavendar, eucalyptus and tea tree up in.

I've found using those oils, gentle exfoliation and eucerin extremely dry skin treatment cream drastically diminishes the look of the KP. My problem is that I'm always rushing from place to place, then rushing to get to bed for a decent night's sleep so I just don't get time to treat my acne and my KP. The acne wins.

before i knew what kp was, i thought that it was something caused by bad circulation. i cut the caffiene out of my diet and it quickly disapeared from my chest. my arms remained just as bad and my legs got worse. those areas are harder to get blood too. i used to think that's why it was better in the summer. i assumed that my circulation was improving because of the heat and therefore the bumps are because of bad during the winter. maybe circulation does affect kp.

BBW has a Eucalyptus Soothing Oil, and I put in their Sweet Almond Oil Base.
