Hi all, I'm new to the board and, new to knowing that these horrid bumps that I seem to have always had on my arms and legs, have a name. I was doing some unrelated research on hair growth and came across this wonderful site. I have seen many doctors and derms over the years and not one even knew what it was. Upon seeing this site, I had an "Ah ha" moment. I'm just glad to know that I'm not alone or some kind of 'mutant'. LOL I'm currently using KP soap as well as a homemade blend of sulfur powder/oil mixture for my areas (Only a weeks worth of treatment so far). As of yet, the skin is smoothing out but the bumps and marks are still there. Only time will tell if I've found my own miracle. Wish me luck. I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and to say that I'm glad I'm not alone. I do have one question though, are there any Black or other darker skin toned sufferers here? All the info I've found seems to point to much fairer skin (Celtic) complexions and ethnicities than mine and I was just curious to know if I really am a mutant.

Hi! I have an olive complexion and I have kp! I have actually seen people on websites and just people i know that have a dark complexion, have kp. I was just like you and thought that i was the only one in this earth that had this weird thing growing on my arm.lol.
But, now that i have seen many people with kp i have found a new way of thinking about kp. When i heard that half the population has kp, i started to look for people who have it and saw that I wasn't alone! Now when i see a person who doesn't have kp, i just think that they haven't joined the club just yet! LOL!
