I need some major help. I have my engagement party this Saturday so for the past couple of weeks I have been really keeping up with treating my arms. I have used a scrub, acne treatment & lotion everyday. Apparently all the scrubbing and acne medicine and lotion I have put on my arms has made them worse. The bumps are deep red and all over my arms - looks like I have some awful disease - never been this bad or been on the underside of my forearm - almost like it spread.
Anyway my dress is sleeveless and I cannot get them to look any better. Does anyone have any suggestions for a quick fix or a cover up. I will take any suggestions PLEASE!!!!! Thanks Anna ![]() |

You might want to get the Mystic Tan, that KP.org member Pinky always recommends. It's basically a professional spray-on tan, that settles naturally into the skin. You might want to start with a Eucalyptus/Spearmint or Dead Sea Salt scrub for smoothing and exfoliation. Since your KP has been aggravated, you should use a soft loofah and scrub in round motions: softly and briefly. Make sure you pat dry off with a soft towel, then moisturize right away (within 30-60 seconds). Matter of fact, I would not loofah for 2 days, to let your arms heal. Just use a washcloth with a good moisturizing soap (i.e Dove Nutrium in a bottle, but the bar is O.K too).
Supposedly, the tan looks better with each weekly application. You need to really moisturize your skin heavily for the tan to take hold, as their website goes into detail about. Basically, Lubriderm or Curel Extra Moisture would do the trick. You can do a search for "Mystic Tan" with this site's "Search" feature. You could also visit their website at: http://www.mystictan.com |

Oh Yeah,
I had a issue about 5 years ago, where Tazorac burnt my arms (think I was a little to anxious in using it daily, instead of every 2 day) and using a tanning bed helped. So, I would probably use a real tanning bed (ASAP), then use the Mystic Tan on Thursday, to give the Mystic Tan two days to develop, with the other steps I gave in between. I read a prior post by you in these forums, where you had success with a cover-up makeup used in theatrical settings. Is that cover-up not working for you anymore or does the inflammation on your arns make the product look fake? I'm just curious. |

Thanks for the advice.
The cover up I normally use won't be here for 1 1/2 weeks cause I didn't know I was out. And the other one I use comes off to easily on everything I touch - sally henson panty hose spray. I have a tanning bed but been afraid to lay in it because it looked so aggrivated - i think I will start tomorrow though |
