Smile newbie!

hi everyone,

never really posted on anything like this before, but first time for everything!

i have been suffering with these red bumps on my upper arms, for a few years now (am now 21) and lately theyve been really getting me down. my younger sister has them too. i just googled red bumps on upper arm and discovered KP, and this site. i read on a post that loreal exfotonic and clinique anti blemish spray work well, and have been trying this for the past 2 weeks, but to no avail. it "kind of" makes the redness go down for a while, but then its the same again.

its really annoying, because i feel really self conscious and cant bare my arms at all, i know from reading other posts that this is the general consensus with everyone here, and would love to find something that works!! even just to control the redness, that would be fantastic.

i started taking flaxseed oil tablets daily too, and take evening primrose oil and vit b6....

this is really gettin me down!!

hi there,

i read somewhere that kp can be caused by an omega 3 deficiency, and then read it on this forum here, http://www.keratosispilaris.org/arch...php/t-146.html

i'm using the tablets, taking them twice a day, and mainly i take the evening primrose oil because its really good for premenstrual tension and its also good for the skin.

i havent ever really had any skin problems, just the odd spot or whatever, its just this kp that i suffer from, so i suppose im just trying to see what will work..and i suppose i believe that you may have better results when you work from the inside out?

hmm interesting I have never heard of it being caused by omega 3. Do you know where you've read this?? I've mostly heard of it being a vitamin A deficiency.
I totally agree with you that it's best to work from the inside. I've started taking a multi-vitamin and a vitamin A everyday, but no improvement yet
