Wedding in 9 months, what should i try?
Hi all,
I have been a member for quite some time but have not posted anything anytime recent. I have a wedding in october. I am so worried that i wont look "perfect". I read a lot of posts here and there are all these products that different people recommend, that worked, or didn't work, or sorta worked. I am so tired of trying new things...but ican't help to wonder and to hope that there is something that really works and one day i will be completely free from these nasty little bumps. I have been using dove for maybe months and used glytone in the past, they seem to get a little better, b ut never completely gone...even though they skin looks smooth, i can still see some scars. I know i have to be completely religious about putting on lotions and i have not been. My question to you guys is, 1. has humidifier helped? my skin gets worst during the winter months. 2. what products have better chances? glycolic acids, salycidic acids? 3. have you noticed that your skin gets 'used' to a product and you have to keep changing products? 4. has anyone had good results with using a product that can completely get rid of the scars, and color? At this point i am looking into body make up that would cover up my skin on my wedding day. I dont think there is one magic formula that will work for everyone and i am still trying to find that solution that works for me. thanks for listening. |

Where is your KP?
Before I got married 10 (!) years ago, I had deep chemical peel done on my back and on my arms. I really wanted to get rid of dark/hyperpigmented scars on my back from acne, when the dermatologist applied the peel, she did my upper arms as well. It was unbelievably painful for a few minutes, and then of course I had to put up with the peeling skin for a while. It worked SOOOO well, completely eliminating the KP and the scarring. I had great skin on my wedding day and on my honeymoon! As we all know though, the KP comes back if you are not diligent about maintenance. If you can find a dermatologist who can do this for you, it will save you a lot of grief and anxiety about the state of your skin on your big day. Obviously this is a drastic measure and can be quite costly, but for your wedding day, totally worth it in my opinion. |

my KP is mostly in my arms, and scars in the back! basically that's all you show when you're wearing a wedding dress! i also have a big birthmark that is around my shoulders, its not black, its brown...anyways, i dont want to be a bride with bad skin!! i am seriously thinking about going to a skin care salon that can get rid of the mark...and then about the KP...I dont know about microdermabrasion...how much did it cost you back then, and how many session did you do? i dont want to spend more money on my wedding! But i'll think of other solutions before i think of this one...

well first off...congradulations!!!!
![]() Everyone is different and every product works different on different people. I've noticed that alot of people have seen results with sal3 soap and neutrogena's skin smoothing lotion..more people have seen results with these two products compared to other products. I myself have not tried them YET but after seeing all the people that have seen results, it's convinced me to buy these two too. Just a suggestion that you might want to try Also..tanning! helps the red dots and scarring be not as noticeable |

Congratulations!!!
I have tried all of the products mentioned, but the only thing that has cleared my KP and kept it gone for two months now is Arbonne's hormone balancing creme. I use it every morning after I get out of the shower and within three weeks they were completely gone. I gave it to my brother who also has KP and his cleared too. I have done some reading that suggests that the hormone creme helps with KP and psoriasis. Arbonne does not sell hormone creme to help clear KP, the reading I did was independent by a doctor who saw the improvement, so I gave it a try. It's about $20 and lasts for more than a month. Good luck! |

Well they do have Arbonne reps in Canada. I am an Arbonne Rep here in the US and I could help you get some, but I would not want to run the risk of anyone thinking I am just trying to drum up business for myself. I could order you some if you would like or I could try to locate an Arbonne Rep in your area. It can be ordered by myself and shipped to you if you'd like. If you like it - there is the option to buy your own wholesaleship so you can get it and anything else you'd like at 35% off. That is what I did - I borrowed an anti aging kit of theirs from a friend and loved it so much I wanted to be able to get it at wholesale. Let me know if you'd like me to get you some or if you'd like to have me try to help you find one in Canada. (I do get credit from the company for orders even if I sell them at wholesale so I just always do) I won't pay retail and wouldn't suggest anyone else do it....They have a webside WWW.Arbonne.com and you could check out all the stuff they have to offer..Let me know i'd be glad to help

Imeri01,
It worked for me!!! 3 weeks. It worked for my brother in about the same time. I just started putting it on my legs yesterday. I always thought the bumps on the tops of my legs were ingrown hairs. Now I think they are KP. I can't think of any reason why it wouldnt work on tan skin. |

Yeah, it does really work... I don't think it matters if you have tan skin or not, either. It kinda hurts using it at first, unless you do it in the shower when your skin is wet. It hasn't eliminated it entirely yet, but it has made such a dramatic difference in smoothing out the bumps.

I would Like to try the Arbonne Hormone Balancing Cream. I looked at the website and the only balancing creams I see say PhytoProlief Natural Balancing Cream. https://www.arbonne.com/shop_online/...hop_online.asp
Is this the right one? If it's not can you send me a direct link to the product? Also is it carried in stores or only online? Thanks |

Adam1234,
The Arbonne cream I use is the prolief. There is a phytoProlief, but that would not be necessary to work on the kp. It is not carried in stores, you need to order through an arbonne consultant. I ordered some for another gal on this forum, or you can get on their web page and try and locate one in your area. Last edited by RMomoffour; 02-26-2006 at 12:59 AM. |
