Urea, S.A. powders and Amlactin Mix
I decided to go ahead and order the powder and the lotion but decided against using the lotion, instead I used Curel Q10. I must say the lotion makes my skin feel like butter. It's really nice and fluffy. Will keep you all posted on my results. I will still continue w/ the S. Soap and stiff brush routine, I don't think I will ever be able to give it up due to the miricle it worked for me. Kim

Did your's come out really soft and fluffy? It feels really silky on my skin. How often are you putting it on? I use it before bed. Kim

I was worried I didn't do a very good job of smushing up the urea crystals, but it still seems to go on very smoothly. I'm using it at night as well. in the morning I'm using regular Curel Q10 and Glytone Body lotion.

Well, I guess we will see. Maybe it's me but the backs of my arms seem a bit smoother! The sulfer soap cleared my legs but never did clear the little bit of KP on my arms. Did you moisten your powder mix w/ alcohol? I did and thats what my lotion smells like and I was a little worried that it would dry my legs but they are still moist in morning when I wake. Keep me posted on your results. Talk to you later, Kim

No, I used a little bit of glycerin; not really enough to be effective (I didn't want to make the lotion runny), so I eventually just dumped the damp powder in the lotion and stirred like crazy.

Kim:
Hello! It’s good to hear that you have decided to give this formula a try. I myself was very excited about it because of the comments made in a past posting (the best results I've seen...) In fact, I contacted the people at Dermal Therapy after mvmorgan mentioned her products and how effective they were. The company decided to make a small batch of the formula to see if it was effective. Unfortunately it has been some time since I have been in contact with them again, I have been very busy around here and the formula fell into the background. Please keep me posted and let me know how it works for you. I plan on contacting Dermal Therapy very soon to follow up on our original plans of making an already mixed batch. Everyone: If you are interested you can follow this link: http://webmd.lycos.com/content/article/1689.50863 It has info on the formula straight from the doctor who recommends it as well as further information on what to use and how much. I’ve been concerned about people mixing the chemicals at home without having the proper equipment or instructions. I wouldn’t want anyone to put themselves at risk. Questions..........
Mel - I tried to use the second link you mentioned in your message in this thread. I am not able to use it. Another page is opened. Can you please place the text of the doctor in this thread?
Kim & Addy - What are your results with the new mix until now? Is there a sticky feeling on the skin after using your formula? If yes, for how long is this sticky feeling there? This because I tried the MV Morgan mix, and I hated the sticky feeling on my skin. Did it during hot weather (more than 30 degrees celcius), so it even felt worser. After putting it on before going to bed, it was still feeling sticky the next morning. I am not able to use mixes like this if there's sticky feeling left! I prefer having KP before feeling sticky all the time. By the way, I didn't see any improvement while using MV Morgan's formula. So, also not really stimulating to go one with this formula. If it has a feeling sticky, but great results then maybe it would be different. I have been using it for at least 3 weeks. I am not sure, but I think my bumps even get more irritated and there were also more. But maybe it's also due to the fact I stopped using the sulfur10%/SA3%-soap. I have been trying to solve 3% Salicylic Acid in Kukui oil after trying the MV Morgan's formula. But didn't solve that well. Also not after mixing it with glycerin before. After waiting half a day, the Salicylic Acid is at the bottom of the bottle and I have to shake again. Don't think it made any difference. By the way, I really think using oils make difference. I had one bottle of Emu oil and redness was reduced. I ordered more Emu oil, will post results after receiving and using it for a while. Thanx in advance! PV |

I was unable to find the article with the 2nd link either. It brought me to this link http://healthology.lycos.com/lycos/home_lycoshealth.asp and also a pop up for Talk America.
I am interested to read more about this also. |

Hi PJV! It is a tad sticky, not bad really. I have not had any results yet due to not using it every day as I should. I have started this week applying it twice daily and I will keep you posted on my results. Kim

I haven't experienced the stickiness problem with this version (Urea/sal acid/curel). my results have been a little inconsistent, maybe because I haven't been using sulfur soap very regularly. I just bought some MSM (sulfur) powder & my next mad scientist adventure will be mixing it & Sal acid into some body wash (probably Dove) to see if I can get the same result without the smell (although from the way the powder smells....I may not be successful!) If not, I'm gonna stick with the sulfur soap.
I'm using my lotion mixture once a day. hope this helps! y'all have a good week! Addy |
