docs can't do anything for it, unfortunately
Hi- I live in NYC, and one derm told me, "don't do anything about it." I should have listened to her instead of seeking out another dr. because the second one gave me tazorac cream which smooths the arms (a TINY bit more than doing nothing) but causes the skin to turn even redder. I have moderate KP (in some lights, only I know it' s there) and for me, the bst thing has been to do nothing- no heavy soaps, no scrubbing.
However, I will say that I am interested in what I have read about a new class of drugs called topical immunosuppresants which work wonders for excema and will ask my derm about this (for specific areas where the red really bother me). Also, I am seeing an hebal doctor, and if I get enough courage up, I will start an herbal treatment, and will tell you how it goes (the herbalist is in Chinatown- surprise, surprise). |
