I have been using a couple of products consistenly enough to see a difference in the bumps and smoothness of my arms. For the most part they are gone. I still have a few small ones scattered, but no biggies that make me want to pick! But the little red dots are still all over the backs of my arms. SO I wonder are they hair follicles waiting to become bumps? Are they scars from picking? What are they? AND is there anything we can do to lighten them? It seems weird that my arms would be smooth but still have the dots....Anyone have any input? |

Thoughts on Dots
I hate the red dots too!!! But what helps me is a good self-tanner. It doesnt get rid of the dots, but it blends them nicely!! Wish I had a real answer for you.

Thats a great idea, actually. I've been tanning to prepare for a vacation, but it hasn't help, instead I think its made them redder, so maybe the fake tanner is the way to go! Thanks for your input

Good Fake Tanner Products
Does anyone know the name of any good fake tanning products that don't turn your skin orange so it actually looks fake? I was thinking about hitting a tanning salon once a week, but I'm not fond of what I'm hearing about pre-mature aging. Thanks for your help

I think they work differtenly for everyone, but I personally like the fake tanner from The Body Shop. You can get this little mit with it that helps you to apply it smoothly and keeps your hands clean. Some keys with applying fake tanner is to exfoliate yoru skin 24 hours prior and use a good lotion, it'll make dry patches look darker. IT also helps to have somone help you put it on, that way the backs of your legs and other places you can't see will not be streaked. Another tip is to apply it one day and if its not dark enough, do it again the next day, at least with the Body Shop one, it takes a little while to get to its full "color". Hope this helps!

I have the same problem. I can get my skin so smooth but the red dots are still there. The only self tanner I have used that works for me is Nuetragena Foam self tanner. I love it. I want to try the Jergens Natural Glow.

I am pretty light skinned too and it didn't turn me orange. They have different shades. You just have to find the one best for your skin tone.
