I've been wondering why my very severe KP is so much better at night and during the morning when I wake up? I thought it's because the blood circulation is better during night..isn't this right? So shouldn't this mean, that KP is better when you use the sauna or do sports? But how can u maintain a good blood circulation in the curfice of the skin, without ripping your skin off dry brushing??

I drink a lot of water and excercise a lot - it helps to a certain extent. What do you have to lose by being more fit anyways? Although on the other hand I think the sun light (despite wearing a lot of sun screen) might be an influence as well.

good question, mine is the same way. when i wake up in the morning my arms are really smooth and the red isnt too bad. i think it might have something to do with detoxing the body. night time, or when ur asleep is really the only time ur body has a chance to detox itself of all the stress and pollutants from the environment so there might be a correlation. u know the saying that our outer body is a reflection of the health of our inner body, which is why some ppl here are trying to fix their inner body health to see if kp might clear up. im really interested in trying to do a body cleanse/detox (and have a feeling it might clear up my kp) but i just dont have money right now to buy my own food for the diet so i just gotta eat whatever my parents buy.

I think the more your blood is circulating, the redder the appearance of your skin and your KP. When I exercise or take a hot shower, I flush. My cheeks get red, I get red, and my KP looks redder. My guess is that at night, circulation slows while you sleep and I that's the reason your KP looks less red in the morning.

Sharon,
That seems logical. But what I dont understand is that when my arms look really bad, theyre usually cold, which leads me to believe that my circulation is bad in that area. When the circulation is good, my arms are warm and they look tons better. *confused* |

Hmmm...then I don't know what to tell you. I don't think circulation has much to do with my KP. I just think it looks redder or paler depending on whether I'm flushed or not. Maybe there is something more going on in your case.
I'm pretty sure that circulation isn't better at night, just slower b/c your heart rate decreases and breathing slows down at night. |
