Wondering
Has anyone tried an asprin creme to get rid of the redness? Asprin is supposed to take away redness and inflammation. In that book, You: The Owner's Manual, the doctor suggests if you have a pimple to crush an asprin and add water to it and then place that on your zit. It will take away the redness. Well, I noticed in the aisle with the pain relief ointment for sore muscles and joints there was asprin creme. I might go back and get some to test it out.
I've also wondered if those concoctions they make for psorasis would work on KP. I see a lot of ya'll have been using the sulfur soap and I noticed that is what they use for psorasis. Does the sulfur soap make you stink? |

Nevermind! Don't try the asprin creme! Too stinky and stings, too. I got some and thought, oh this is great. Nothing to clog my pores. All good things for skin...tea tree oil in it, too. Slathered it on one arm and left it alone to see if I would notice a change. The smell was too much! Plus, my eyes and nose couldn't stop watering. Didn't do nothing for the red.
Later I scrubbed my body down with the St. Ives Medicated Peach Scrub. I've always used the regular peach scrub, never thought to use the medicated one until I found this forum. Used cetaphyl bar to wash up and slathered on Lac-Hydrin 5. Skin is a lot softer today. I never had a problem with acne until I had my first baby. I might have gotten one big one once a month. Then after I had my son my face broke out bad. I mean bad! Then I got pregnant with my daughter and she seemed to clear my face up until after I had her and the breakouts occured again, but now I just breakout on my chin and where my jaw connects. So I started using Proactiv about a week ago. Stuff seems to be working. My face is clearing up and my complexion is starting to look like it did when I was in high school. I noticed that they have a body wash. Seeing that a couple of ya'll have had good results with the Clinique spray I am wondering if this would help, too. Has anyone on here tried it? I'm also thinking about going back to the Jergens Smoothing Lotion. That is the one that I used that was working good, but I had to be impatient and start scratching the bumps off thinking I was speeding the process when I was just giving myself scabs which made me look diseased. I'll just have to really not scratch at them. I'm not a picker...I'm a scratcher. If my fingernail catches one...it catches one. I'll see if I can find a pumice sponge, too.Speaking of pumice sponge. LOL!!! One time when I had one of these "let's get rid of these bumps" phase I bought a pumice stone and thought I'd use it like a bar of soap. I wasn't even rough, but the burn I caused on one arm lasted a couple of days. That was bad. ![]() |
