KP is nothing
KP is nothing, NOTHING compard to KPRF. you just imagine the irritation of the bumps on the arms but instead its your face turning the colour of the new arsenal shirt. its the worst. and from what i read on this part of the site there is certain 'cures' for it, as for KPRF- none. It is literally the worst thing in the world bar none.
so just give that some thought before you go moaning on and on about how bad KP is. |

I have it too. I hate it. My KP is everywhere, including annoying places like eyebrows and nose. Do you ever notice KP or white flakes around your chin area (where your goatee grows)? If I look closely, I think I see it around my eyes and around my mouth. Very tiny bumps. It burns when I shave.

Have you tried Proactiv on your face. Just wondering since it seems to work well with ridding the old skin cells. I'm still in the beginning phase, but the couple of kp that I did have on my face are gone. Its worth a shot. And to me it is much more gentle than the prescription stuff they give you to put on your face and it makes my skin feel so soft.

I find it's hard to treat my face cuz if I use exfoliating, like something that's for acne then it dries out my skin too much. But if I stop using that, I get zits. I just can't win. I can't find a middle ground.

I used to blush NOW I DONT.
Mark,
I used to have the blushing thing and KP now it is not so bad or doesnt exist. Mark, I am 100% sure that the face blushing thing is pshycological and also but to a lesser severe extent related to things like synthetic moisturisers (petrolium based), synthetic clothing and heat, bad foods etc. Basicly we have really sensitive skin and the blushing thing is related to that. But with a better diet and more sensible clothing i have noticed that the face thing is much more related to phsycology... ie when i am stressed, feeling anxious and paranoid, self conscious, have alot of head energy i blush... i have become a much more level headed person since i moved out of my parents house... and i smile alot... and guess what... i dont blush very easily and when i feel myself getting anxious and thinking im going to blush i just auto calm myself and stop over thinking. Its one of those things if you are paranoid about it, it happens, if you forget about it it doesnt. So mark I challenge you, calm down chillax and smile concerntrate on smiling.... and having a clear happy head... and then you may notice you flush less! oh and.... try to stay out of the sun and cool (cause that will make u blush too). Cheers, Styg. |

For all of you guys with KP on your face, I suggest shaving with Noxema. I used to have KP on my sheeks and like you, people thought that I was blushing all the time - when actually I wasn't. True, for some reason, when I did blush, even a little bit, it would really show - and the kids at school would sometimes pick on me just because they knew I was easily prone to getting embarrazed. (The blush)!
I can laugh at it now. The best think to do is to shave with Noxema and just apply it all over your face and make yourself as white as a geisha. Noxema really exfoliates your skin and leaves your skin feeling fresh. I've never really had to shave with anything else other than that. Once you start using Noxema, you should also get out and get some exposure to the sun, that should help it clear your face. Apply moisturizing lotion to your face if you notice that you're facial skin is getting a bit dry after using noxema. Also, be sure to stop eating sugary products (candy, chocolate bars), take your vitamin pills and eat lots of good stuff that contain lots of omega 3-6 fatty acids. Walnuts, Salmon, etc. Try this for several months and you should start noting differences in your skin. You'll notice how people start telling you that your face looks like its clear as a baby's butt... The first time someone someone said, you have such nice skin, I was was like "I do". |

My son has it on his face. The redness doesn't bother him as much as his lack of eyebrows.
