Drastic Measures?
Hi. I just joined this group although I have been living with KP since I was 10 and am now 24. I am wondering if anyone has ever gotten a chemical peel or professional microdermbrasion? One of my friends was telling me about it and I just wonder if it would even be worth it. I have the microdermbrasion home kit and it works pretty well, but mine is still pretty severe and I just wondered if I should take this route? Any input would be helpful

Hi, I have microdermabrasion once and it made my skin a bit smoother but the bumps came back. I would have had to keep doing it to keep the skin smooth and that wasn't cost effective. Plus, I wouldn't say that it was that much smoother than doing a scrub in the shower.

Thanks for the reply. I use the home kit microdermabrasion and its works ok, but you have to keep up with it, and the creams and scrubs get expensive too. You had it done at a spa??

Yes, it was a skin care place that does microderm and laser hair removal. I tried the laser, too, but I have very fine blond hair on my arms so it didn't do anything for me. Expensive!!!

Yeah I think it sounds better than it really is. Thanks again for your response
