i was wondering if anyone else has used lac hydrin lotion and experienced any side effects from it.

i was prescribed lac hydrin about a month ago, but i have discontinued using it because it seemed to irritate my arms pretty badly. although it helped smooth my skin, it would also leave patches of itchy, scaly areas as well (almost like hives). my deramologist has little to offer when i ask him about it; he says that it is up to me whether i want to continue to use it or not since the reaction is not very serious.

i was wondering if this is normal, and if i should just try to plug through it until my skin adjusts. or would anyone recommend canning the whole idea and switching to something else? if so, what product is like lac hydrin but may not cause such a reaction.
