So do you think it's because we do not get proper circulation in the KP areas? When I go jogging the KP areas turn really red. You would think that exercise would promote stronger blood flow. That's why I thought mine got more red. Hmm! I don't have a dry brush. Maybe I should try that.

I always say this. There are only three things which can remove, or significantly decrease the redness, but they come at a great risk. 1. PDL- very expensive however. 2. VERY potent corticosteroids, ie Triamcinolone Acetonide cream .1%, 3. ORAL retin-a (isotretinoin)-not as likely to remove redness as other two, but less risky.

Eucerin's site is offering a free trial of the whole redness relief system...so I'm gonna try it...since it's free.

I get redness relief with using a cream cleanser not soap non oil lotion and cream. If I stop using it then it comes back for a quick flare up the cream works good and isn't a steriod. This system was made for people with eczema but so far as I can tell most people with kp have issues with skin sensitivity. They do ship to Canada and its the cream in the jar I use for redness after I excercise . The cream cleanser has been great as I have been using glycolix 15% on a large percentage of myself and need something real gentle or I get irritated red. It can also be used on your face .

There is another thread on the board about using non soap cleansers . Good luck

Re: Getting rid of the redness completely.

Hi! Has anyone gotten any results from Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Lotion? Or Aveeno Ultra Calming Redness Lotion? It's been working ok for my skin, but i was just wondering if anyone has gotten any results. Thanks!

Re: Getting rid of the redness completely.

Thanks missliss25. I have been using the lotion kind for about a week and a half and it seems to be helping a little bit. After I get out of the shower I put on the intensive repair lotion, and in the morning I put on Aveeno Ultra-Calming daily moisturizer. I'm wondering if I should be applying more lotion daily then I already am.

Re: Getting rid of the redness completely.

lulu'185 -- There is a product from Eucerin called PLUS Intensive Repair Creme that has urea and alpha hydroxy to help exfoliate. I've also found using a cream cleanser body wash from dove in the shower works well.

yeah. yeah. that is the cream i've used. it worked, but i went through the bottle wayyy too quickly to justify repurchasing it continually. i also use Glytone bodywash because it has a very high percentage of AHAs (higher than what is typically available).

where do you get the Glytone bodywash? Is that perscription or just over-the-counter?

Re: Getting rid of the redness completely.

Thanks so much missliss25! Also, the Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Creme says it is "non-greasy, fast absorbing". I applied the creme to my arms and the creme STILL hasn't absorbed, even after 10 minutes. Also, my arms look incredibly greasy. What is going on!?
