Greetings and question about Tend Skin and exercise
Hi, everybody -- I am so excited to have found this community, and even more excited to have found a NAME for this STUFF that has been on my arms and legs for the past THIRTY YEARS (I'm 36)! Finally I know that it's genetic -- well-meaning people in my life have always goaded me about this condition and have implied that it was due to poor hygeine, so it's very liberating to finally be able to say that "no, it's a genetic medical condition, thank you very much!"
My questions: (1) Has anybody tried Tend Skin? I bought some on a whim because of its claim to cure "razor bumps," which was the closest name of a condition I could find before about 2 hours ago when I discovered this site. I've been using it for 2 days as an experiment, but from reading the other descriptions it doesn't seem like this is going to work for me. (2) I just started working out recently, and I have noticed an improvement in the appearance of the skin on my arms. I read in the "what works" thread that exercise can often help -- is this because of the effect of perspiration? Thanks so much for being here! I can't wait to read through the entire site, and to try some of the things that have worked for others! DLight |

HI, YES, i've used Tend Skin just recently and have found that after a few days of using it, it's REALLY dryed out my skin, although, I never did use any moisturizer throughout my time using it. It DID seem to clear it up a little, but the dryness bothered me. My KP seems to come and go and I have it on my forearms mostly and a little on my upper arms, and unfortunatly havent' found a solution, but have tried many products.

Hi! Tend Skin did not work for me, I still have a big bottle of it in my closet. It seemed to make it worse. We did talk about it in length on the old message board if you want to look it up. Kim

hi..i notice exercise really does help my kp. I've been exerciing and weight lifting for the last two months religiously to get toned up. the Sweating probably helps the kp. But i also notice that the body parts that are already toned normally. Like your thighs and calves. the kp there is usually smoother. but of course redness still persist.

ditto for me with the tend skin. it smelled awful and dried out my skin and didn't help my KP in the slightest. i, too have 2 huge bottles collecting dust in my room. total waste of money in my opinion.
