There is something called Tazarotene. It's pricey and requires prescription, but some claim to dissolve all KP (redness and bumps).

Concerning Tazorac or Tazortene

I used Tazorac for only one day and it gave me a scorching sunburn! it definitley made my skin smoother but it was painful...i didn't know that my dermatologist wanted my skin to peel..but she said "That's what's supposed to happened." I felt dumb lol maybe if i tried it longer......? Has it worked for any of you guys over a period of time??
Thanx,
Jason

I guess there are many remedies for redness...for me , the redness from Kp always seems less noticeable when I tan. But tanning is also not for everyone~ :/ Good luck w/ finding something that works out perfectly for you

Sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil (examples), epilpt (walmart) are really good for the redness I think. Its done wonders for my daughters arms. Totally cleared up the bumps on her legs and her arms have never looked better when it comes to redness or bumps. We have done this for quite awhile now without any other products on her arms or legs. We also use homemade soap (superfatted) and I think this is a help also, we don't use loofahs or scrubbies though. I also have kp, but my daughter has more of a problem than I do. She also has this on her face, but so far differen gel has been helpful with that, as does the sun. I wish we had more sunny days here in IL though. That seems to help her skin a lot!
Keep up moisturizing the skin, maybe that will help you also. What do you use for moisturizing?

Sweet almond oil does help and it moisturizes the skin the whole day. Although in summer, it is a bit hot to put on the skin. I really want to try emu oil next. I recently found out about JoJoBa OIL. is this a good moisturizer for KP too?

Yes, I think jojoba is very good, and we have also used this oil, which is actually a liquid wax. It has excellent skin care properties, supposedly even good with acne (which we have not attempted that on her face-I worry it would defeat the differin?) and if I remember correctly inflammation. Whatever I have handy with my soapmaking ventures pretty much gets other uses here too. I used to work at a bakery and after awhile had some rashes, due to the flour settling on my skin. Jojoba was one of the oils I used to help calm down my arms, lips, and face, which unfortunately was also itchy. It was nasty!
I have not purchased any Emu oil but have heard some great things from other soapmakers. If you buy this, please keep me posted ok if you try this on your skin? Sweet almond I buy in bulk, but these other oils I buy in small quantity, as otherwise this would all be too expensive. I think alternating the lotions and oils is also helpful, so this is another to consider.
