KP, a skin type?
I visited many dermatologists up until now. Some gave me creams containing urea but it did not work though I used them for a long period. They only gave me "a moisturized skin", no more. Redness continued and dryness came back when I quitted using them. One of them told me that KP is a "skin type". You may have oily skin, dry skin etc. KP is an "extra extra dry skin" type - I name so. She gave me a tube of cream containing urea and sal acid (10% urea, 3% sal acid)(named 'Kerasal Forte' if you are interested) and told me that it will help in summers. Yes, it did actually, but I could not use it continuously because it is a bit expensive for me (a single tube of 50g. is around $5) and I find it boring to use it day and night for a long time. But I am sure, one will benefit a lot if use it for a long time with patience. Not only this product, but products containing urea and sal acid -the only thing that is said to work as far as I know. So, take KP from this point of view, and be patient and be hopeful. It is probably a skin type, or hereditical skin illness, I still hope we will find a product that will cure KP in the near future.
