Smile So Glad!

Hi! Glad to see the message board back up, seems like forever. I'm 29 yr. old female, married w/ one child. I have always had KP just a tiny bit on the backs of my arms and then about 6 mos. after I had my child I broke out w/ KP all over the fronts off my legs. I do not have a problem w/ bumps, I use Sulfer Soap to control that. I wish I could find a way to rid the red like dots. Anyway I am happy to see this forum up and running.

I have 2 children, and after both pregnancies the kp got worse and seemed to spread! My dermatologist told me there is no relation to kp and pregnancy, but I know I am not crazy. I feel the same way you do about the purple (from tanning) dots. I have not tried the sulfur soap and a stiff brush, but hope to soon to help out with the stubborn bumps on the back of my arms!

The subject of KP and pregnancy came up before on the old message board. You might want to search through the archive. I think the conclusion was that KP might spread during preganancy because of nutritional deficiencies. The baby takes so much nutrition from its mother that it can leave your skin devoid of key nutrients. It makes sense and it's another reason that mothers should take plenty of supplements.

Rick

Hi Rick! I may be the one that posted what you read on the old message board. I do remember posting somthing like it. My KP did not spread until about 6 mos. after I had my daughter not during. I do remember my skin still not back to it's old self at that time. I have very oily skin and sometime during the 7 mos. and some wks I was pregnant my skin became very normal. So I do feel the Kp was due to the baby taking so much from me during that time. Kim
