Epithelial Cells..? a cause for KP?

I recently went to the clinic to get a blood/urine test for my diabetes. Everything was fine except that my epithelial (epidermis skin cells?) count was extremely high. Normal range was 1-5 and i was 8-10. Could this be a reason why i have suffered KP for so long? Maybe if we found the reason for the inflammation of the hair follicles this KP would stop?
