I'm a 26 year old whose rubra faceii has gotten worse since my teen years. Many people believe that KP goes away after some years, but it has been my personal experience that it has only gotten worse since grade school. Hopefully medicine will improve enough that there will be an effective treatment for your child before too long. Good luck, Dave
