The last time this question was posed (read back several months in this forum), it provoked some incredibly nasty postings by people who strongly disagreed with each other. Several posters (and I am among them) indicated that they had experienced a strong correlation between weight and KP (also between pregnancy and KP). This is what is true FOR ME (I am not speaking universally): I was never overweight as a child or in my twenties. I did not develop KP until I was well into my thirties and had become obese. After losing 70 pounds, my KP disappeared. However, I began to regain weight after back surgery and--voila!--my KP reappeared. I have very fair, sensitive skin (Scottish background) and certainly fit the skin profile of a KP sufferer, but have only had bouts of KP during times of my life when I was overweight.
